Anyone Know of Any Bunnings Price Drops to Match ALDI's Hardware/Gardening Sale Starting This Saturday?

Just been thumbing through this weeks ALDI catalogue (sale starting this Saturday) and saw that they featured a

  • $399 116V brushless Li-Ion lawn mower
  • $299 self propelled Petrol mower with mulching function, and a
  • $199 6 in 1 multi function tool set - 2 stroke (pole saw, edger, line trimmer, hedge trimmer, brush cutter, blower) amongst other hardware and gardening items.

Not really interested in the ALDI sale offerings as expect its all only 12 month warranty, but Bunnings always seem to price match a similar item whilst the sales are on, which might be worth checking out.

Wondering if anyone has seen any Bunnings offerings/price drops to match ALDIs sale prices as yet this week?

If the price drops it would be of the equivalent Ozito garden power tool (if one exists). So keep an eye on Ozito prices and you would know.

  • They may not price match because Aldi are experiencing delays in stocking the product(s)

  • I've not had any luck getting them to price match on different brands.

  • No one else does a 116v mower, only Aldi.
Other brands are lower voltage low powered things compared to this Aldi offering, even though they cost a great deal more money.

Wish I'd bought one, but I bought the 80v version from Aldi the year before and it is still going strong, so hesitated and then they were gone.
    Missed a real bargain.

If you can get a used one, buy it.
If/when the battery ever wears out, simply repack it with new cells.
The batteries last a very long time as long as you don't mistreat them.

It's made by Scheppach and looks like the same mower that was being sold in the U.K. as a Hyundai for £599.99, (£577.49 inc. VAT when on sale). https://generator-pro.co.uk/product/hym120li510-lawnmower/
Seems to be discontinued now. :-(

My old 80v one is still going well mowing my large bush block, even after three years.
Will never go back to petrol or low powered battery mowers sold by other stores/brands after using something like this.
    Nothing can beat it.

    • That UK one from Hyundai is close, but it's 120v — 2x 60v batteries and charger; also with larger catcher.

I would like to know if anybody bought [this one] (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/682863) and has one or two good batteries or successful story on refurbishing these exact batteries — I dismantled one and found it near impossible to replace the individual batteries due to how it is all packaged together.

If the price is right, I may buy a battery or two and maybe the charger. My mower is good, but one battery has failed and it won't run with only one battery.
