  Great processor. It's my high end build system which I'll use for at least the next 4 years. If I do upgrade, might do the GPU first as I don't have much in use cases that tax this CPU right now (occasional video conversion or X264 is it, rest is normal browsing, docs, Chrome, 1080p gaming). Right now paired with a 6600XT. Mobo is ROG CrossHair VII Dark Hero. RAM DDR-3600/64 GB.

  I paid 800 plus last year and have no regrets. If anything the lower pricing means I upgrade some of my other systems sooner.

  Other AMD based systems I have which run just fine:
  B550/3200G Ryzen 3
  X570/5600G Ryzen 5
  A320/Athlon 3000G

  Everyone be wary, I ordered on the cusp of the change in price.

  It was displayed as $569 on the mobile app, I hit buy it now.

  Email confirmation stated $739, spoke to customer support for 20 mins trying to resolve. Finally got an acceptable credit.

    I put a NH-D15 on top of mine and so far no matter what synthetic benchmark I whack it with it hasn't gone above 73c. This thing is utterly godly. So lucky to have caught the deal.

      undervolted mine just now (my 5900x is gold sample, checked with CTR) and temp are 37 on idle. about 45c average when playing Lost Ark.
      undervolted 4025/1000

        I got mine today, cooling it with NZXT Z63 AIO, benchmark or stress test temperature is 88C..damn Hot, sound like undervolt is the way to go to lower the temperature.

  Just got mine today. Hopefully my crappy Corsair A500 cooler can tame the beast without sounding like a outdated MiG-25 on afterburner.

  Any good guides on undervolting that anyone can recommend?
