Well its not far off now and it looks like $78 is a good price for day 1 ps4 edition.

ps5 std edition should be the equivalent of $10 usd more… so $99 aud?

As usual the $150 special editions is basically a steelbook which I dont find interesting.

For PS4 I dont know what to think:

Ps4 edition costs $10 to upg. to PS5 if you are lucky enough to one day get a ps5. You pay $10 to the playstore and you need the ps4 disc in your ps5.

Ps5 edition comes with a Ps4 code in it but I dont know how exactly that works… I guess you stick the ps5 disc into your ps4 and it asks you for the code and it redeems and downloads the ps4 edition but you still need the ps5 disc in your ps4.

This is how /r/granturismo best guesses things for poor ps4 owners.

of course you can buy digital but the reaming will be severe.

    of course you can buy digital but the reaming will be severe.

    Nothing worse than sinking into the couch, controller in hand, starting the game - "insert disc"!!! Darn daughter's been watching DVD's again!

    The reaming is tempting just to avoid that happening.

    I'll be buying PS5 disc standard edition just after launch, or maybe I'll pre-order from Amazon. No. I should wait for post-launch reviews.

    I've been sorely unimpressed with the special editions since the amazing bit of kit that was GT5 Signature Edition

      the GT5 collectors was $300 aud… which in 2010 would be quite a bit

      i have it/had it and the orange SLS scale and Apex book was ok

        Yeah but there hasn't been anything like that since. It's all been in-game credits/cars etc.

        I love me some GT loot!

      For some reason loved the license section, probably getting a car for free (jnr ozbargainesque)

    i think maybe the $78 Jb hifi preorder with the credits and free cars might be the best deal going. $105 at ebgames for the same thing is probably not a good deal.

    $20 more for ps5 edition at jb….

    I’m just buying the standard PS5 version from JB. Also I believe the PS4 to PS5 upgrade is $15AU, the $10 is the US cost and it’s only the anniversary edition that comes with the PS4 code.

    for ps4 $78 at HN

    but I'd rather pay $79 at JB since the local JB is real close

    also Gerry is not our favourite on this forum
