Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking for Love (In Several Wrong Places) free at present

Description

Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking for Love (In Several Wrong Places) is the second game in Al Lowe's Leisure Suit Larry series. Continuing the plot of the previous game, the swinging single Larry Laffer has finally found his true love and is happily living with her. Right? Wrong!.. Because Larry is mercilessly thrown out by his great love and is left all alone, penniless, and womanless, in Los Angeles. Accidentally, Larry comes into contact with KGB agents who will pursue him all over the globe from now on. And there is also the evil doctor Noontonyt plotting evil schemes on a remote tropical island… Looks like Larry will have to forget about his women-related problems for now… or is it so?

  • The second game in the series introduces an improved engine (allowing for full-screen graphics and mouse control for movement).
  • The number of ways to die has increased, danger awaiting Larry in most places he visits.
  • Play as one of gaming’s longest lasting legends: Leisure Suit Larry!
  • Al Lowe’s famously risque humor and bodacious babes that are waiting to “work out” with you!

As a big fan of the series I can assure you this game has not aged well.

That's OK - neither did Larry!

    • Even though ti has full screen graphics?

Damn this is when we used to play this on the 286 computa with 4mb ram and floppy disc drive!

    • 1990 says hello!

And me too. I miss the floppy drives. They were a real thing of their times.

Piracy was just a matter of taking your floppies and installing it in your friends computa!

I gave my computer a pretty nasty virus doing that. :(

It was called the K-Mart virus and damn… it crippled us. I wish I'd known about formatting and reinstalling back then but I was 12.

          • @Sxio: LMAO! BAck then command line antivirus was there. I think I had norton which may have been copied as well.

Floppies were the way to carry the viruses and the only way into a computer!

@Sxio: so… leisure suit larry gave you a pretty nasty virus?

            figures

            • @mantichoral: Actually I think I lent Lemmings to a friend and it came back with it, but it got onto everything eventually.

              • @Sxio: Ah the lemmings!! Loved those little fellas.

                • @Naigrabzo: there an app of the lemmings game for Android, not sure about iOS.

        • You also had to copy the faces and phone numbers for this one.

rather some of the other classics, like space quest or police quest than larry again.

    • Indiana jonesa n the lost ark… 3 floppies.
      Monkey island - 6 floppies.

  • has anyone gotten this game to run?

    steps followed:
    - created indiegogo account
    - logged in to indiegogo
    - added game to library
    - found library
    - wandered around aimlessly until I found zipfile of larry game under windows icon/button
    - downloaded zipfile
    - extracted files
    - ran INSTALL.EXE
-dismissed Windows defender warning and really ran INSTALL.EXE
    - got told "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher" So, game would not run on my brand new 64-bit windows 10 PC

This was my very first adventure game and what a genre back then. Personally I loved the Police Quest series the most but I played every adventure game released, couldn't get enough of them.

Classic archive of Sierra hint books. Including all the Leisure Suit Larry games.

  • This is one of the harder Sierra games. So many stupid ways to die in this one especially on the cruise ship. Literally every step you take on the cruise can lead to your death lol (even after you escape if you didnt bring the right items from way back at the start of the game, dead)
