I received a CamelCamelCamel alert that this popular high-quality massage gun has just dropped in price as a "Limited Time Deal" at Amazon AU. At $59.99 this is the cheapest price so far, with one exception being an Amazon lightning deal which sold out in minutes.

Comments on past posts have been positive so while I've owned no other massage guns for comparison I've been very impressed with the quality, power, quiet running, and (apparently) 15mm percussion. It is also AU stock with AU charger and arrived next day with Prime for me in Gold Coast. Free shipping without Prime membership. The category should qualify for 4% cashback on SB and CR.

NOTE: The listing does not state a product brand but the pictured product is Taotronics. I purchased one of these a month ago and received the Taotronics TT-PCA004 with 6 heads and case. For some reason none of the Amazon sellers for this product list the brand and hide logos in listings.

Also, mods advised this Amazon seller was previously banned for sockpuppeting. Mods have allowed this post and I have no affiliation, kickbacks or referral ties. Please be wary if you're approached to promote this stores products after purchase and if in doubt, HODL for another seller to price-beat it.

For some reason none of the Amazon sellers for this product list the brand and hide logos in listings.

Prob because RavPower, Vava, TaoTronics and Choetech (all under same umbrella iirc) got banned for incentivised reviews (which is weird because it seems pretty common practice with Chinese dropshippers * cough * *soundpeats. )

    • Good to know. I'd always buy from spam and BS free sellers where possible but are you saying it's the manufacturer/distributor (hence all sellers), or drop shippers buying positive reviews?

I read comments here on past deals to choose this one and it was the 15mm percussion that convinced me. Some comments said it doesn't have that range but I haven't got another one to compare to.

My advice is to always take all and any reviews online with a grain of salt, and where possible always sort by most recent negative reviews first.

I should clarify, they got banned at amazon, and that's probably why they're purposely NOT marketing the brand now to get around the bans.
I remember seeing Taotronics deals all day everyday on ozbargain at one point.

I really don't think a vibrating device like this would ever give me a good massage

      I'm sure the wife/girlfriend disagrees

      • well if they are then they are easily pleased.

    • +2

I was surprised but I'm only using it for neck and shoulders to counter too many hours hunched working from home on my PC. After a few minutes of rattling teeth and blurred vision it does loosen up tense muscles. YMMV

This is only 8-10mm, not 15mm as claimed.

  • +9

I don't understand. All you have to do is whip out a ruler and measure whether it is 15mm. 15mm is not relative. It's an absolute measurement.

We need to stop posting these as if they are 15mm. They are overwhelmingly likely to be 8mm. All this does is cause more confusion and is misleading.

I would know - since I purchased the one that came up from the first post, received it, measured it, then returned it.

  • how do I tell this is TaoTronics branded?

    • +1

Definitively, you'd probably have to buy it and open the parcel. The orange/white box and carbon fibre look case are branded on mine here. If one you got isn't you could return for refund under Amazon policy as the product did not meet expectations.

The other posts I linked for this (I looked for the casing shape) have mentioned Taotronics in comments. Jimothy's first comment here probably explains why it's not stated in listing.

Awesome! Thanks, OP! Just grabbed one for my old pair! I am currently using one of the TaoTronics previous models bought from Costco and love it.

I have this massage gun. Work really well after exercise. Battery life is good as well. This is a good price for a good massage gun.

I put offer $60 which accepted by seller and currently eBay running 10% discount with code PL10MS so the total I paid is $54.

    Cheers.

  • Here is a negative review of it.

    • Hello mate, now that you have it and have used it, what's your review?
I'm in the market for one and it's so confusing and I don't know which one to buy.

      • +1

I don't have that massage gun. I have a cheaper unbranded one I bought a few months ago. I was initially happy with the one I bought, but I realise now that it's not very good. I has a very small stroke length of around 5mm and unless fully charged it quite weak.

The Evieun GK2 is excellent and was quite possibly the best massage gun for under $100. But it's been out of stock since December.
        https://www.amazon.com.au/Massage-Tissue-Massager-Handheld-3…

You can buy it from the US for $150, under the Medcursor brand. It's not cheap, but I think it's still a reasonable price given the quality..
        https://www.amazon.com.au/Medcursor-Percussion-Massager-Hand…

Just be aware that most cheap no name brand massage guns, usually have a very short stroke length, meaning that they give more of a vibration massage than a true percussion massage. As well, they often have a low stall force, which means that if you press hard, the motor will stop.
