I know these things are going for very little $ these days. and are pretty basic.
someone at work gave me their dead one.
i tried charging it and no response.
replacement batteries are like $5ish on ebay. take the risk and get a replacement to see if the battery is stuffed? not ozbargain style. (sure I could try charging the battery and use a multimeter to test any action but that is too science).
I took the battery out to see if it was dirty terminals but all clean. looking at the pin arrangement for the battery I thought it looked like a regular nokia BL-5 battery series pin arrangement. though smaller in terms of battery width and length (same depth).
So I took a charged nokia BL-5 battery and whacked it in the Huawei, (held in place with a couple of pieces of tape) and vola, the phone fired up.
nice simple fix.
for a bit more permanency I cold place some blu-tac around the battery to hold it in place.
Huawei phone with a Nokia battery…dude, you've just pimped your Huawei! :)
