Red Ignition Wire Only Getting 2 Volts

I am wiring an after market head dec to my Toyota. It works directly connected to the battery. The yellow power cable is getting 12volts. The ground is properly secured. But the red ignition cable is only getting around 2volts when ignition is turned on.

I found the fuse and placed the multimeter on it and it's getting 12volts there. I wired the power cable and the red cable together and the power of the combined wires is 2volts.

My reverse camera now does not work since I started wiring the up. Can anyone help me please.

Do you have a diagram or photos of what you've done?? Wiring the yellow and red together sounds a bit interesting.

So fuse to ground is 12V, but your wire connected to the fuse to ground is 2V? Have you checked it's 12V from both sides of the fuse and that it's not partially blown?

Check that your ground is properly connected. I once ignored that I was trying to ground through some paint, and was only getting 5V across my dashcam.

    WTF is a “head dec”?

And how many volts were you expecting from the ignition wire?

It’s a bit confusing as you are saying you got 12 volds in your title but are saying 2 volts in your post. I don’t know what one is the typo at this point.
