I made a pretty large purchase a few months ago on Groupon through CR despite seeing other people having issues and of course, turns out that I did as well. Cashrewards sent me the same email they look like they send everyone, mentioning Adblockers (all turned off, I know the drill guys!) or other cashback programs (definitely didn't use one of those) or clicking away from the page when making my purchase (out of paranoia I specifically made sure I immediately checked out because I was so sure that the complaints were misattributed user error but now it's happened to me, I'm furious). Or that I used an off-site coupon (nope, just the one I found on the CR page).
I'm suspicious that this is GROUPON'S fault, maybe something they do with large orders so they don't have to pony up the money, but I have no evidence for that. All I know is if I knew the sale wasn't going to be validated, I wouldn't have purchased in the first place..
It was Black Friday or something and the half a dozen or so sales from different websites I made on that day all got processed just fine through CR. Except mysteriously the big ticket item from Groupon. Like out of all the purchases I made the correct way, I somehow only fumbled the ball on the biggest one.
Has anyone else had this happen to them with Groupon specifically?
