I guess purity is purely a feeling/marketing term in this case

Yes, it's pure alright, but the substance is more brown then black.

Oh the description elaborates on Pure purifying "Power"

    $4.97 at Amazon. $4.47 with S&S

    • My $0.02 (I mean, $0.03) legend

Not the cheapest available, sorry mate.

        • My bad :(

@deanmoriarty: Thanks for the post. Not everyone got Amazon prime.

        • +1

Amazon not available to anyone. Should not neg for 0.03. Very mean and not reasonable

          • @ti6331: 5 more people to neg my comment and it will revert my downvote. Common people!

For my defence, I negged for 53cts, which is 10% cheaper. Also I'm within the rules :-)

              @ShouldIBuyIt:

              I negged for 53cts

Some folks here will gut you for less.

But hey, if you are going to be petty, you should at least add the base FB reward cents to OP's Coles deal.

              5 points => $0.025 ~ $0.03

Those folks with 10x bonus points offer can potentially earn $0.6 when shopping on Tuesdays and Fridays.

            • @ShouldIBuyIt: U need to know not everyone got Amazon prime, such as Costco. People may need to make purchase at Coles to get bonus points. U r crazy to neg

The deal is good, the product is pure marketing.

Advised by health professionals charcoal does nothing.

    • but it smells good right?

      • -1

I have the garnier brand in my shower right now, smells like nothing. I got it when it was on a 50% off sale. I just use it as a face wash

    • Cut the B***shit. Charcoal has many uses in pharmaceutics. Would love to know what "health professionals" claim it does nothing. I have listed the 2 most respected pharmacopeia summaries

      British Pharmacopoeia
      USP
      Simplified resource

This product is pretty good and I used to use it a lot as I enjoyed how cold and tight it made my face feel (I know this doesn’t mean it’s actually working or a good product) it was just a very nice sensation. FWIW I use this now and it’s superb especially for a lazy bloke like myself who doesn’t need any bells and whistles

    • $15 for 140ml ??
Curious about what the bells & whistles version is…

Fair question on a bargain forum, even for a user attracting some hard-earned negs 😂

  • is it black oak charcoal (whats the diff with red or white oak) ?
or black oak charcoal (is there a brown, white or other charcoal colour) ?
what are the five signs of oily skin ? i only know of one: oiliness
why fight the signs rather than just get rid of the oiliness ?
well charcoal is good for is absorbing odour and making life hard for bacteria so maybe better off putting this on you feet i suspect

    • It's Activated Carbon in lay language. Here the simplified explanation of it use. Happy to provided the pharmacopeia's (BP, USP) if you want the complex explaination

      • woosh!!!

        • If you also want an alternative that also has Salicylic Acid (as the main active ingredient) and is extremely palatable the Hydra Energetic Face Boost Wash is really nice. You'll find it around the $5 often on amazon and it smells great. It also gives you that nice cooling sensation, which is great for mornings.

I'm in my 30's (male) and have an oily T-zone with dry skin in other areas (basically won the shitty gene lottery with skin), I only use a tiny amount once a day in the shower and Nivea wipes before bed and this stuff is liquid gold. My skin is clear (normally either have pimples or discolouration (like might get a little red that looks rashy) and this stuff sorted it right out. I now use no pimple cream (because I don't get pimples anymore) and moisturise using a tiny tiny amount of the loreal vita life (anti-ageing version I purchased in error), but is holds moisture in extremely well and gives you the tightness feeling.

Either way whatever you buy, just use small amounts. People tend to always use way to much of the products and it's just a waste of $$$

  • Chemist Warehouse is also running a big sale on l'oréal men expert. Same or cheaper pricing.
