USB C to Dual HDMI

Hi all,

I have a ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 2 arriving soon. It will be used for office work only.

I want to connect to two monitors.

Is something like this suitable? Is cable creation a reliable brand? If not, what other Amazon products are recommended?

This JB one goes for double the price. I'm happy to pay more for a better product.

There are plenty of cheaper ones on eBay and Amazon, but don't really want to get something that will stop working after a few months.

Any assistance is appreciated.

  • What's the resolution of the monitors? It only does 4k at 30hz which is laggy but 1080p at 60hz will be fine.

I find it easier to just connect 1 cable for everything so have something similar to this

  • Alogic is good brand but for that price you can find decent USB-C hubs/docks which do display and USB peripherals. This dock from Novoo has good reviews.

  • Keep in mind that cheaper docks will use DisplayLink rather than your GPU to run your monitors. Google the pitfalls. Depends on what type of office work you are doing I guess.

  • Will be using 1080p monitors for general office tasks (MS office, chrome). Thanks for the replies.

  • I always recommend going for a switch. Would you never ever have a possibility where you'd want to be switching between monitors, keyboard and mouse between laptops?
I wfh on company laptop and have my own laptop - this is a god send : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B095DDPKN3?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_…
