I’ve been looking at the price of these for a while and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it drop under $150

  • Might be better to buy from the alt seller who has free next day shipping for me (for the same price)

You must have missed this deal then.

    I smell a RAT ;)

  • I would recommend forking out for a XLR setup, if you already have a XLR port avaliable to you I recommend the Rode Pod mic far better dynamic mic for the price.

USB mics if you like to stream or podcast aren't the best quality.

    • How do you connect the XLR mic to the laptop then? I've never seen an XLR port in the motherboard?

      • for a laptop you need to also get this RØDE AI-1 Studio-grade Single-channel USB Audio Interface
or you can get a mixer they also have xlr ports.

        • it depends on how much you want to spend on a mixer or interface but if they have decent preamps you going to have really good audio recordings.

    • There's nothing special about the Rode compared to a bunch of other dynamic mics in that range, just a question of use case and your own voicing if you want to get particular.

That, and the NT-USB is obviously a condenser microphone.

    • But don't you also need a seperate power supply, which brings the cost way up in comparison?

I don't get why a mic being USB automatically makes it bad …
