Okay so it's not actually OzBargain shares.
But if you could buy OzBargain shares. Would you invest ?

I'd need to look at the books
The free ones?
No, otherwise shareholders will demand more blood from the stone.
But if you buy the shares then you're a shareholder and you can demand less blood from the stone.
You'll always be outvoted by institutional investors.
Not if you buy more! More! MORE!
No
Not unless Barefoot tells me to
More like the (discounted) RM Williams investors.

No, Ozbargain is mainly funded through Affiliate revenue. Just like Shopback and Cashrewards they're totally at the mercy of the affiliate percentage retailers give them. If affiliates stop paying then no more revenue…
The whole Affiliate marketing business model is banging on the fact that there will be more and more start ups which needs 3rd party partnership to help spread the word. This should be your target market and where the Affiliate revenue stream comes from. Once a new company becomes large, it is natural they stop paying affiliate fees, then move on to the next group of start ups. Keep cycling.
It is quite crowded in this space, but nothing is stopping OZB being next the Honey.
Ozbargain is mainly funded through Affiliate revenue
That's incorrect.
OzBargain is mainly funded through display ads / banner ads, which has its own problem, i.e. adblockers.
Interesting. I have ads turned off in my profile (and use an adblocker) but I never bother with cashback so I always assumed ozbargain got something from my purchases.
Honestly you should have an option for logged in users to use OzBargain affiliate links. Iβm happy to give a tiny bit of money here rather than whatever dodgy website was the last to fill my browser with affiliate cookiesβ¦
I'd also be happy for ozbargain to get my referral dollars.
I think only a tiny minority wants to opt into affiliate links. Moreover I'm not worrying about our revenue. We make enough. It has been flat for a few years now but as I don't really have any grand future expansion/growth plan, our revenue can easily cover all our existing expenses + a bit more.
@scotty: no metaverse ozbargin?
Thank you Scotty for doing this! I run an adblocker, but because you give me the option to turn ads off, and I get value from the site, I disable it for Ozbargain and leave ads on in my profile. It's really refreshing UX practice, and I hope it takes off in more places!
Ozb should sign up to Gather for some revenue other than ads. https://gather.network/
Ozbargain is really around twenty people who post good deals.
Another site could lure them and basically slowly drain all the people.
Also don't really see any growth. Kinda maxed.

I think Ozbargain is far bigger than that. I notice totally different communities in different types of bargains or forum threads.
But I could never invest in a website. People are fickle and will move on to something new. I'm surprised facebook lasted so long.
how's the dividend payments?

Great idea!
I'm waiting for Neil and Scotty to come out with OzB NFT's and then I'm pushing "all in"…
Pump then dump
who owns this website and how much annual income do you estimate they earn from it?
All finances are available for viewing for ozb platinum members.
I didn't realise it was a big secret. Everyone knows who owns Whirpool and Property Chat and income estimates have been calculated in the past
I didn't realise it was a big secret.
It's not. The owner of this site has posted in this very thread.
@brendanm: how much do you think he earns from this website? A poster below is talking $500-800k gross revenue a month (not net profit)
@[Deactivated]: Well, if a random on the internet said it, it must be true!
@brendanm: well he's backed up his research so it could be true, or at least in the ballpark
For anybody interested, here is a video tutorial on how to signup for OZB Plat.
Thanks mate, signed up. Cheers
Thanks bought 5.
I reckon $500k to $800k revenue per month. Not joking. The site is one of the most visited site in Australia. Similarweb estimate it to get about 25m visitors per month, it's ranked 55th and 2818th visited site in Australia and the world respectively. The community is super sticky. On top of the bargain, the forum is extremely active.
Only if i can join ozb royalty.
I suggest investing in OZB when someone was asking about investing $100K
I would invest in OZB, not to profit, but to show my support. They even give decent amount of money to charity at the end of every year.
I dont have much money though. I will probably be able to afford just 1 or 2 share
OzHodl
99.00% of OZb can't hodl to save their life.

Does the prospectus come with MS Paint diagram?
If they open platinum membership to more people they could make a fortune considering how much they charge.
Scotty please start a crypto currency with a great promotion team and I'll be on the ride with yah .
Scotty will be available after May. I reckon he will quit Parliarment alltogether after the Coalition gets crushed at the next federal election.
Ozbargain to the moon
