Samsung Trade up Unable to Validate Credit Card

Good morning all.

In anticipation of the S22 I'm trying to make sure the trade up app is working in case I need it.
However whenever I get to the last step it says 'Unable to Validate Credit Card'.
I know this happens with debit cards and when they are getting smashed with Ozbargainers but it is happening now during a slow period.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
I've tried both my coles mastercard credit cards and even signed up for AMEX Essentials for this purpose which also does not work.

I've attempted to chat with support but am getting no answer.

Do you guys have a solution or workaround?

    Last year the trade up thingy didn't take Amex.

    try visa card. As master card doesn't work

      Hi mate, looks like the fault was on Samsung end because my mastercard and AMEX ended up working
