Vitamix E320, Blendtec Total Blender or Optimum 9400A?

After a bit of googling, I am narrowing down my search to vitamix, blendtec and Optimum 9400A

My nutribullet 900W (loved its extractor blade) just died after 18 months and am back to using my Breville the Q blender. The issue with the Breville blenders (I had another exy version prior to the Q)is if I have to grind a tablespoon of black pepper corn, it does an extremely poor job (the blade just spins the pepper corn around) I got the little (Breville the Coffee & Spice) coffee bean grinder to make ground spices so it kinda serves the purpose. The el-cheapo woolies electric mills I have aren't upto standard.

So what I need the blender to do :
1) Ground spices (like pepper corn, cumin, etc) and coffee beans to fine powder (by adjusting speed, I can get coarse powder I presume)
2) Make really smooth smoothies (even one cup at a time is fine) with no/minimum berry seeds
3) Crush Ice, blend /veges/fruits to make jams, preserves and chutneys

So, which blender amongst Vitamix E320, Blendtec Total Blender and Optimum 9400A would you recommend? Or any other recommendations please? I am finding the Youtube reviews lean on the channel's preference of the blender so no real help there. Happy to spend a bit of coin for a blender that lasts - will obviously look for deals.

  • i love my vitamix

  • A Vitamix will sometimes struggle to grind a small amount of spices. It's unfortunately just the mechanics of a vortex blender (which all the high end blenders are). Vitamix does have the additional attachment blender bowls which help solve this problem but that's another $150.

I have had the Breville boss and currently have a Vitamix 3500i. Blending performance is so close that I tell all my family and friends to get the Breville.

  • Optimum will destroy anything you put in it, just isn’t great at anything sticky or pastes as they tend to get stuck under the blades
Mines been going strong for about 7 years

  • Just bought the optimum a couple weeks ago
I think it's good. Use it daily for smoothie with lots of ice. No problems. Comes 5 year warranty. Lifetime foradditional $110
    Haven't compared to Vitamix though.

  • Loud/ugly but Vitamix wouldn't disappoint you.

  • Breville wizz 8 with blender

  • Another thumbs up for the vitamix here
Albeit don't have experience with the other ones, I swear by the vitamix

  • I think glass jug blender are classier than plastic jug/cup blenders.
