Is There Any Way to NOT Use Gift Card Balance at Nintendo eShop

Hi,

I've tried to google this with no success.

Does anyone know if there is anyway to not use the Nintendo eShop gift card balance when trying to buy a digital game?

I have about $30 balance and it is automatically applying it and I can't see an option to opt out of using it.

Why wouldn't you want to use the balance? If you tell us why we might be able to solve that problem instead.

  Because I'm looking to buy a full price game and actually want to pay full price via my cc so that I can claim price protection if/when it drops in price.
  
  Usually I use deku deals to buy at the lowest price or close to, so I don't mind in those cases.

    Technically it only add funds to your balance equal to game anyway and then you buy the game with the added balance.

Buy something else to burn the balance, then deploy your Credit Card.

    Can you buy hardware, maybe you could do with a spare charger which I think is about $32.
