It's full sized keys, not full size keyboard. That would be 88 keys, but already oos anyways.

Good for pressing the demo button and playing heart and soul

Does anyone know if the generic brands like Carter 61 keys with stand for $100 are any worse off in sound or quality?

Want to buy for my kid to start learning piano, no space for actual piano

PS dont forget CW have 25% off catch today making the casio one around $60

    • Oh nice.
      No idea about that piano
      Isn't it 15% cashback though?

      • Yes sorry, its 15% up to $25

    • Do u have a link pls

If you want a digital keyboard to learn piano it needs to have 88 keys, a sustain pedal, and use weighted keys.

So that isn’t this deal. You are probably looking at something like this (at a minimum)…
      https://derringers.com.au/yamaha-p45-88-key-digital-piano

      • Thanks.

      • Thx. Even as a starter?

        • Yes. Don't skimp on the fully weighted keys.

  • Is this a good first piano for kids to learn ?

    • Great first piano for anyone to learn. I bought a similar one over Christmas. But I'm told it's best to learn on one with fully set of weighted keys. I doubt I'm get serious about it, but it's nice to have around.

      • Which one did u get. Do u have a link pls?

        • Well… I mean… it's not in the same price range, but this one is great for a number of reasons. https://www.dicksmith.com.au/da/buy/scarlett-music-casio-cas…

It's really light and portable. It has a charger, but I use this exclusively with batteries.

Chuck in a bunch of rechargeables and you can carry it and play it anywhere in the house. The built-in handle is fantastic. You might wonder why having a portable keyboard is important… it's not really, but because I play guitar, I'm used to carrying my instrument to any room or play in bed at night.

The CTS300 model is the one with the weighted keys. I couldn't justify that with my zero playing ability.

    • No. Playing a Piano isn't just pressing a few keys to make notes. It's about how you play the keys (eg. how hard / fast / length of time). You don't learn any of these out of some cheap keyboard that doesn't support these functions.

Please look for a proper 88 key "Digital piano" with weighted keys and a damper pedal - even if for the very beginners. These start from just under $400 on special and is well worth it.

      • Can u recommend any ?

Can't go wrong with Casio or Roland.

Korg B1/B2 can be had on OzB deals for $400-$500 or so. Casio CDP series with fully weighted hammered keys is also good too but thats closer to $600.
