Driver for Anko 7.1 Surround 4D Headset

I got this headset at Kmart on clearance

It comes with a driver CD

I dont have a CD drive in my house.

Can anyone send me a link for the drivers?

The disc is labelled:

Virtual 7.1 Gaming Headset Software

Keycode: 42990055

This is a link to the manual, but there are no drivers here.

From reading the manual I believe the software needed includes : Xear Audio Center

EBay has external CD drives for about $20. Always handy to have one for cases like this.

  • From what I have read, cheap virtual 5.1/7.1 headphones still have 2 drivers like normal headphones, it is the software is that mimics the 5.1/7.1 effect by adding in delays to sounds.

You can use an open source piece of software called Equalizer Pro to get the same effects.

    • Thanks. Windows 10 and 11 also have a 7.1 emulation mode in their settings, but these headphones are "4D" which means they also vibrate - so I think I need the actual driver for it to work with both 7.1 and 4D.

      • Looks like you'll have to phone a friend and copy the contents of the CD.

Maybe post it on the internet for others experiencing the same issue once you have done the above.

    • No, thats just the plain 7.1…. He most likely means this: https://www.kmart.com.au/product/gaming-vibration-headset-wi…

hmmm it just dont say 4d ig

        • But the only one I see with vibration… so I dunno…

          • @Forfiet: The one I got cost $10 and was a discontinued line.

It is similar to, but not the same as the one linked above. I have linked to the manual earlier.

It is no longer sold so no longer appears for sale on Kmart's web site.

I note the with vibration one linked above also has a driver CD!

I suspect the software on both CD's is the same and that the headsets are extremely similar in design and performance.
