Please explain how coconut water can taste so different among the various brands - It ranges from foul to very sweet even though they are all 100% coconut water!

    • +25

All coconuts are not the same. Taste can vary by region, weather, water quality, the kind of coconut, etc.

It is like saying all beef should taste the same.

      • +6

agree, come from a tropical country there are many varieties of coconuts and you could able to taste sweet coconut (especially the king coconut or red coconut sweeter and refresher)

      • +2

It does if McDonalds gets to it first.

    • This one tastes watered down but its $15 for 6L so no complaints.

    • +1

Coke cola made in south East asia region taste different with the 1 in aus and they are same company.

      • I wonder if that's intentional though

    • If you travel overseas a lot esp to South America, Asia etc, even the Coca-Cola, Pepsi Cola, Milo, KFC and McDonald taste differently.

      • That’s because the recipe can be different to suit the locals taste. This, however, is 100% coconut water.

      • +1

        Aussie milo taste the best.

    • I agree. I'd go as far as saying that it varies within brand, according to packaging. The only product I like is H2coco, in the 2L plastic bottles, or the little cans. I swear the 1L cardboard bottles taste different (in a bad way).

    • some are extremely sweet, can't be very healthy.

    • it all depends on if the workers washed there hands or not. that adds the unique flavour when processing.

its on special at coles with 2 for $3.30. which comes to $2.15 per litre.

    • +4

      those are the 250ml ones

  • +3

Plus free can of coke (zero suger)
Receive a FREE NEW Coke No Sugar 250ml.
Receive a FREE NEW Coke No Sugar 250ml when you purchase 1 or more eligible products offered by Amazon AU

    • Dunno why, but for me, the Coke does not discount to zero

EDIT: I dont know how the discount calculation works, it takes the cost off Coke Zero, but splits it between the 2 items causing the confusion, but yes the Coke Zero is free….i missed this on another item because of this calculation confusion

      • +1

Likewise. I skipped the coke and did the s&s

        • You can select s&s and get the coke too

          • @pitoui: When i did it messed up the discounts. Oh wells! I will always wonder though.

  • +4

It's half price at woolies and you don't have to buy 6.

    • +3

Actually it's 10% cheaper than Woolies with S&S. Delivered. Most stock up when it's this price, not just buy 1 or 2.

    • I need to buy 3 boxes, so S&S + free delivery = win

    • if ur buying more, its a pain to carry this from store to home, amazon takes the pain and gives u 10% for S&S

    • For me, I like to buy at least a box, and I dun have a car and live not that near to woolies but although still walking distance, delivery by Amazon S and S is much better option.

  • Is it always this price? or does it goes up to the full price $24 after?

Considering setup subscription if it's always this price.

    Thanks.

    • +1

S&s will bring down more than half price and free delivery to door step. No need go in store and push the trolley and check in qr code and less risk of contracting covid. 6 packs doesn't last long in my household.

      • +1

Was going to s&s, Until I saw that it says price will vary go up and down depending on price at delivery, it's not locked at the price now.

So if price goes back up to $24, you'll be paying that when it's being delivered at a later date, while coles and woolies you can probably get it for $2 - 3 all the time

        • +3

Just cancel SS at a later time before the second delivery. No issues.

        • +1

Yes always cancel it once dispatched from warehouse. And always select 6 months interval just in case you forgotten at least give you 6 months to cancel.

          • @dtingy: can someone explains what happens if you cancel right after ordering? it hasnt been shipped or dispatched from warehouse.

Does the whole order cancel? or does the price revert to $15 (i.e. excluding S&S discount)

I jumped the gun unfortunately and canceled right after ordering… :(

      • can someone explain what is s&s?

        • Subscribe & Save.

Click on the link and you will see the option either pay today price once or setup a subscription for delivery.

    • Nope. I was gonna order a couple of days ago and it was $24 for box of 6.

    • Not always is this price But seems always be on sale. I setup s&s since last oct, last 2 deliverys are at $16-18

  • +1

Be mindful, S&S price goes up and they silently deliver with that price. Keep an eye. Subscribe and cancel when it goes up.

    • +2

You get an email when it has been ordered automatically and you have time to cancel it before it reaches shipping stage. In any case, cancel subscription as soon as shipped.

  • +1

    $2.5 at Woolworths.

  • +1

    Seems to be gone already?

    • Yeah not adding to cart for me either

    • Seems to be back now, I was able to buy.

  • Same oos for me

  • +4

still stocked for me edit: maybe just back in stock!

  • +2

Yay, just managed to submit an order now. I appreciate the updates from people mentioning when they see it's out of stock, and when they notice it's back in stock.

    Thank you!

  • It's not OoS btw, just ordered a pack of 6.

Last few times I tried this coconut water it tasted and smelled like sweat water… How do people stomach these is it like an acquired taste. Id take normal h2o any day.

  • -2

    Can I drink this?

  • Is this as good for you as water or similar?

  • Remember to add the free coke
Remember to use S&S for $13.50 with the long subscription (6 months), you can cancel anytime, plenty time to remember.

IMO one of the best coconut water from Thailand.

    • we usually get a reminder much before they dispatch/charge for our sub & saves. So even if we forget we can cancel it after the reminder before it dispatches (about a week's time usually).
Also free coke is not automatically added to future coco subscription - which is better.

  • Why this one is popular?

  • oos

  • Still available. Just click on all available buying options.

  • For those who love to make smoothies, it is good idea to stock-up the coconut water.

  • HAS ANYONE WORKED OUT THE BEST COMMON TIMEFRAME FOR THIS JUICE PLZ?

    • Just cancel subscription and resubscribe everytime deal comes up

I dont think it locks in the price for each subscription delivery, it just takes 10% off the current price.

In terms of time frame it depends when Coles/Woolies have it on sale

      • YA but thats why i wanna set&forget a common interval when price is low

(edit - is there a resub button..? but still)

        • -1

The price isnt locked, you'll be paying the prevailing price-10%. In this case it would be like paying $24 -10% … not worth it.

  • Don't forget the free zero sugar coke! strange thing is it is gonna arrive separately much earlier than coco water package. Intrigued to see how much packaging they gonna waste on a delivery of one single coke can lol

  • Available @ $2.50/1L at Woolworths this week.

  • wonder if this is ethically sourced… do they use monkeys?

  • ordered 3, but for some reason charged me in two takes (1 pack and 2 pack)

    • Same

  • is this cheaper than Costco? i can't remember. i bought it from costco last month. its not showing up on the costco website.
