  there is another mob who posts here regularly, who claim that their uggs are the only ones 100% made in Australia, as they are the only ones who process their sheepskin in their tannery in Australia

  Hey!

  I can't promise for the rest of the year :)

  Like the other few remaining manufacturers in Australia (except for the one you mentioned who do tan their own skins however they do not sell to others / do not have the range nor the quality that we would want for our products, plus to say that they are 100% made in Aus this isn't the case as the thread / sole other small bits and pieces are also not made in Aus because either they don't exist or prices are many times the cost.) we use Aussie raw skins that a shipped offshore and tanned overseas in China and then brought back to Australia once processed via a method they call eco tan which is the most advanced environmentally friendly and non toxic process to tan the skins which produces a much much higher quality finished skin ready to use.

  Unfortunately I cannot provide the exact address of the tanner but we are the manufacturer of these UGG boots :) We make them at 9 b Macbeth St Braeside 3195. I hope that this answers your question and If I can help with anything at all please let me know.

    their boots did not last one season and their rep blamed the sheep for producing low quality wool (no jokes)

    sole other small bits and pieces are also not made in Aus

    interesting points to raise with that rep :)

    I'm based in Melbourne and I am tempted to click and collect
    Hopefully you can assure me that your boots will last at least a season with indoor use

    wrt sizing is there a way to check the size?
    or do you have a store front?

      Unfortunately the shoe trade here in Australia isn't what it used to be but hopefully after the events on the last couple of years we can bring more of that back. We stand behind our quality, if there is a manufacturing fault we will repair / replace it every time and our boots are built to last as we want customers to keep coming back of course :) I personally guarantee you that your boots will last more than 1 season with indoor use.

      You are welcome to click and collect we just ask that you always either call us or wait for us to call you as soon as your order is ready because sometimes even though items show up as in stock online when the team goes to pack them they aren't there which means we need to manufacture them (usually takes 1-2 days)

      We have a showroom in front of our factory that is open to the public 9am - 4pm Mon - Fri. It's at 9 b Macbeth St Braeside VIC 3195.

  just out of interest do that mob allow others to process skins at their tannery?

  or do they not, just so they can claim exclusivity

    Don't quote me please because I have not been there personally but as far as I know from the industry talk it is a very small tannery and they do not allow anyone else to tan there it is just for their own operation.
