Yeah I reckon eh
Yep, nobody in the family wants to use my bootleg aloe vera (harvested from the plants outside) metho & lavender oil (to combat the metho smell) hand sanitiser anymore.
Wow thats one way to do it on the cheap. Well done.
@Embaloo: It was more a necessity thing, when you couldn’t actually find hand sanitiser anywhere & the local grocer (the only one with stock) was selling 50ml bottles for $10.
@dscott85: Ouch. Yes good idea.
Aren't most plants outside?
Does hand sani really have a valid expiry?
Maybe the aloe vera or moisturizing components decaying, which would leave it a bit harsh on the skin.
The alcohol evaporates leaving it lower than on label and not effective
Why does the expiry date matter for hand sanitisers? I can't imagine the reason being the alcohol will evaporate, and if it doesn't then what else can go wrong?

I mean the alcohol will evaporate, but not appreciably in a closed vessel.
Could possibly be the thickeners (PEG/MEG/etc) breaking down/going a bit funky (thin/bad smelling).
This will be RAT tests in about two months
Unload the stock quick.
I hope so, but I kind of doubt it considering the worldwide demand at the moment.
It’d be a lot harder to get “approval” for RAT’s than hand sanitiser so it’s not like production can ramp up in the same way as producers flood the market.
Which store?

Harris Farm is selling one of the best sanitizers. Its $1 for Australian made sanitizer.
Australian made is a much better sanitizer than Others.
If you don't already have a bottle in every room, car and bag, where have you been last two years?!
in every room, car and bag
Where do you keep it in the car? I have a glass thermometer in my car, because I was curious to see just how hot it gets, and I've measured as hot as 62C air temperature. Surely that temperature would degrade the sanitiser?
I suspect the engine compartment, on the non-exhaust side, would actually stay cooler! But that's much less convenient to access.
How times have changed.
