Anyone recommend good deals on raybans?
Sunglass hut used to have a 30%/40% for one/two purchases of sunglasses (i.e. called 'family and friends' offers) but they are only doing a 40% off second pair atm.
Anyone know if their family and friends deal has been dropped?
they are both luxottica brands as are pretty much anything else sunglass hut sell as they are also owned by luxottica… check it out, they're one of the least ethical companies around. E.g. what they did to Oakley
Get a pair of prescription glasses from vision direct, they put original lens in the pack. Put them back for a few dollars and you have plain sunnies your private medical insurance paid for.
Sounds a little fraudulent. How does this work if you have 20/20 vision, do you have to fake being unable to see?
What is fraudulent there? I have minor impairment but I don't wear glasses, so I just get prescription glasses and switch over lens, what's wrong with it?
Nothing if you have an impairment. My question is what if you don't?
I want to do this, but I'm worried that I will go for an eye test and find out I need glasses haha. I assume you need a prescription to order the prescription sunglasses?
You don't have anyone with private insurance who does not need new glasses but can buy them for you?
Wouldn't the prescription need to be in the same name as the insured?
not sure about the deals, but sunglass hut also carry persol and they are many times better than raybans
