Port from Boost to Telstra directly ?

Has anyone recently ported directly from Boost prepaid to Telstra prepaid successfully? I heard telstra upgraded the backed system .

    Wasn’t recently.. but pretty much all prepaid orders go through a new provisioning system. Technically, it’s not a “port” when you switch from Boost to Telstra, rather a modify with a new sim

    Not recent (a year ago now) but I had a terrible time moving from Telstra Post Paid to Boost Pre Paid. Instead of 'porting' my number, they disconnected me and I lost my number for a few days, with lots of back and forth phone calls as apparetly my account/number didn't exist at all anymore. Evntually they were able to restore it.

    On top of that the data did not match the advertised inclusions, and they offered a silly workaround which involved me calling them up every month to apply a data pack, rather than just reactivating the package with the correct data, or a once off data add on to cover it. Eventually I got there in the end with multiple phone calls, but it was a huge pain.

    When I transferred to Boost from Telstra post paid ages ago I needed to get a blank sim, OR port via another provider - I used WW mobile for a month.
    However now, my wife recently ported from Telstra prepaid to Boost with no issues, directly using the Boost prepaid sim.

    Telstra remains one of the most incompetent organisations out there. Get a $1 SIM from Optus or Vodafone and port to it first. Avoid the Telstra incompetence entirely by making this simple for T. Family recently tried moving between Telstra and Woolworths and it involved days of follow up including periods where the mobile # was disconnected for callers. No thanks.

    • I rook the risk and ported directly. It was done within 1 hr.

  • Just tried it this. Boost disconnected & Telstra activated within 30 mins. But the phone says "No SIM". So could be a dodgy sim card.
