Has Anyone Spotted Any Local Nvidia GTX 3050 8GB Deals?

Hi.

This is suppose to go on sale today. Recommended price is MSRP is AU $429 but there is no way in hell we'll get any for that price. I'd really like to see what they resell here for. But I've yet to see anyone put them on sale.

Post anything that you spot !

  • I've seen a few for $429, but none in stock. The rest are anywhere from $600-800 and are in stock or preorder.

    • Do you think they are worth buying, even at RRP?

If not, what price do you think would make them worth buying, for some people, in the current market?

I think it's still high compared to previous 50 series cards, but putting that aside, compared to used prices for the 1660/S/Ti, you're getting more VRAM and RT/DLSS. So in the current market, $429 is worth it.

    • anywhere from $600-800

then better to get a RTX3060 at this price, usually arounf $700-800 with techfast etc deals

  • I saw one listed for $429 on PC Case Gear's website, but of course, it's out of stock with no way of preordering. Most are going for 500+ to 629 if you wanna buy one now. So much so for the $50 MSRP difference between it and the 6500 XT. 6500 XT can still be picked up for MSRP so yay AMD!!! As much as I don't like how handicapped the 6500 XT is, at least it is in stock for MSRP.

    • Yeah the 6500xt in stock today at MSRP, but I don't think that will last much longer

  • Where have you seen them in stock ?

Don't get your hopes up. Country of 67+ million people:

Almost 1,000 RTX 3050 GPUs will be available for MSRP in the UK at launch.

    https://www.tomshardware.com/news/rtx-3050-low-availability

It's yet another Nv paper launch.

    • They're 3060 rejects, so highly likely to be limited availability.

Normal release for the last 2 years w.r.t. prices and taking orders online, but NO stock. Same with CPU launches. You are better using google to find stores near you and check their web site for stock and ring them if they have it in stock. If it gets posted here and you do not see it within a few minutes it will probably be OZ bargained and sold out.

If you have a fav store give them a call and ask when they will be getting stock and can you reserve one depending on the price. Some stores will do this and others will not.

I think I have finally lost the last shred of respect I had for PCCG.

They're a bunch of grubs and still charge a significant premium vs other stores for standard delivery on top of that

Direct your anger at the manufacturers setting their own pricing, not just the reseller..

Scorptec, PLE, and others offering similar pricing (all + delivery charges).

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3050 Gaming OC 8GB GDDR6 ($619.00 You're saving $10.00 when compared to Retail pricing!)

They are really having a laugh with the launch pricing aren't they. For not much more you can get an RX6600 which craps all over this card. That and prices seem to be dropping weekly for many of these GPUs..

        • The PLE link I posted above for the Zotac RTX3050 selling for $429 (ETA 01/02/22) just disappeared, G cached info below:

Replaced by a card more expensive than Scorptec pricing.

          • @xuqi: It is possible that they had one or two in stock and immediately sold out, then any restocking is more expensive. It's also possible they're simply gouging. Impossible to know for sure.

Scorptec are still teasing it for $429, but won't let you preorder at that price. Note that there are two different models of the Zotac 3050, the cheaper E and more expensive H OC model. They look identical.

@[Deactivated]: $429 must be the handful they offered at close to MSRP.

Still ~$250 difference between the standard, and the OC model is insane…

              • @xuqi: Traditionally we would see maybe $399 - $499 for this MSRP with OC models etc, maybe some outliers.

          • @xuqi: Great screen grab. Interesting how they introduced it at $429 and it's now it's $699.

Really hoping that Intel ARC doesn't suck and that Intel have good supply and are willing to price very well (something resembling late 2019 price/performance ratio adjusted for inflation) to gobble up market-share for their first gen of modern dGPUs, it's a long shot though

    • +2

They couldn't ask for a better market to launch a new brand into. If they're willing to avoid gouging to attain market share, then it might actually happen. At the very least they should have better availability.

  • Amazing that the original NVIDIA 3060 RRP was $329 usd and $430 aud about a year ago.

    https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/30-serie…

Now 3050 has same RRP. Finally some progress hopefully!

  • Looking for a 3050 deal also. None in stock, did I miss it completely or was there never any?

Interested in Asus single or dual fan models (non-OC).
