BenQ ZOWIE CAMADE II Esports Bungee $29 Delivered @ Computer Alliance eBay

90

Looking for a mouse bungee after the Razer Viper 8K deal.

Seems to be fairly well respected. Looking around it seems to be about $39 at Mwave, Scorptech, Kogan without shipping. 10 dollars cheaper and doesn't have shipping on their ebay for some reason despite having it on their main website.

I was looking at the picture of the product and was wondering what the hell it has anything to do with computers? It looked like an automotive part that one buys from Super Cheap Auto.

It finally made sense when I saw the last picture at the bottom of the page. But, gee, talk about an over-engineered solution for a minor problem.

    • Yup. I always used the desktop speaker/monitor stand to bungee my cord without even knowing there would be a consumable product 10 years later that does the same thing. Crazy.

    • i too thought it was a car jack..

    • Thought it was a dead mouse with a red bung stuck on its tail

If you see one of these on someone's desk, just walk away and never come back.

I get the hate on mouse bungees, because they honestly do seem completely absurd.
That being said, I got one as part of a "swag pack" I won in a comp from Lenovo and, honestly, I was really surprised to notice how much smoother my mouse moves with it. I honestly thought it was all marketing BS, but there definitely seems to be some utility for it.

With all that in mind, however, i still sure as hell wouldn't pay $29 for one. All mouse bungees seem to be stupidly overpriced, especially ones with RGB in them (looking at you, Razer). To me, considering the materials used to make them, they should really cost $15 max. There is no reason for them to be twice that price when on sale…

A lot of people here are bashing on the concept of a mouse bungee but you're mostly not the demographic it's aimed towards. Having found cord drag against my mousepad an issue when playing FPS games, a mouse bungee is the best solution for a wired mouse.

For me, it mostly eliminates the scratchy feeling when moving up or down when aiming in an FPS game. By reducing the drag the cord has with the desk/mousepad, it makes aiming a lot more consistent. Having used the tape method before, the bungee is far superior. When when using the tape method, you either have to make the cord between the tape and the mouse shorter, which doesn't give as much freedom around the mousepad thus hindering aiming ability, or longer which then reintroduces drag against the mouse pad.

That being said, the best solution against cord drag for me is to go wireless and there are so many good options for good gaming wireless mice these days.

  • I'd never even realised this was a thing - yet it absolutely fixes a problem I have. Definitely a don't knock it till you try it situation I say. Still not a big enough issue to have this sitting on my already crowded desk tho haha.

  • I have one and it definitely makes a difference. You will feel the difference in resistance when you drag your mouse around.

    100% worth it.

  • Can anyone explain why a wireless mouse cannot solve this first world problem.

  • Solution to a first world problem for people who don’t live in the real world.
    KMS this is a thing
