  • Whats the catch? Need to use COVE's SMS Sevices, do you need a cove sim card, i suppose the credit isnt forevery network

    • It's an online SMS tool. You sign up, login to our system, and start sending SMS's. If you want them to appear as coming from your mobile number, you can "register" it as a sender. It verifies you own the number by sending a code to the number which you need to enter.

    • That is still 10c / SMS unless you are buying bulk (5c if you are sending 500,000). PennyTel always had 5c SMS. It might not have that many integration API but good enough for me.

However that's beside the point. COVE is giving away their 25 SMS pack for FREE (+25 current bonus) — so you get 50 free SMS to be used within 3 months. Not bad I think.

    • There will be places that are cheaper, but this is a brand new service for us and we are giving away 100 free packs so that we can ensure the system is working properly. Enjoy the freebies. :)

  • no way to send multiple SMSs at once?

    • There is, but it's hidden for the moment. The service is still new and we'll enable more features as we go along. Also, if you want to provide feedback, please do so at http://forums.cove.com.au - thanks! :)

      • cool, thanks for that cove.

  • you can get free text messages at http://www.moto-music.com.au/
There is a limit (I think 50 a week) but still its free…

    • How?

      • Sign up to the site as a member…and then one of the links on their main page (not too sure at the moment which one, as I haven't used it for a while) goes to SMS messages…you can have your own personalised phonebook of mobile numbers you use…
Only problem is they limit the amount of characters you can put in per message (around 160 or whatever the max amount of characters for a standard text is).
Also I think your name and/or number gets sent with them.

EDIT: I just signed into my account…when I clicked enter, I was automatically redirected to the page for sending SMS's…and it is 50.

  • Done and get it, hope there would be nicer software in Australia.

  • yakedi = 10 free sms/day

  • yeah, what advantage does this have over yakedi?

  • thanks, Cove is reliable for sending sms, appreciate it :).
