Let's place one in the middle of Orchard Road and see how it's fairing after 7-14 days.

  • "Unlock the deal by entering your email address"

    • You can skip that part. But you’ll still need to enter an email to place the order :)

    • +3

That's an easy workaround. Just send me your credit card details to unlock our 'premium pro consumer portal' link.

    So are these actually good?

    • Don’t know. Reviews seem good. Just purchased one myself, will see how it goes.

Much better than most of the cheap crap you see now, and somewhat better than any of the 'gaming' chairs including Secretlab in terms of positioning and ergonomics. It does not rely on additional pillows to mask any bad ergonomics. Personally I am not a fan of mesh seats although the seatback in mesh is usually fine.

Definitely one of the few Social-Marketed chairs that would not be horrible to buy, at a price that is reasonable with this deal. Normal price you would probably be better served by something else as $670 buys fairly serious chair. It is not going to have the quality of a proper chair however, so expect issues with it. Best you will get is a replacement part sent to you.

Any more than that and you are looking at the Serati Pro at the $1k-$1.1k mark.

      • Can't find Serati's website?

    12 year warranty is laughable…

Also doesn’t cover wear and tear or labour. Buyer beware.

    • +1

There is no "labour" because they will simply send you out whatever part needs to be fixed. No different to most places tbh. They sent me out a replacement arm for no cost.

This is the same price even now.(as this particular post)

It'll be on sale again soon. Got one last week. Very happy.

    • I hope you're right, keen on one.

  • I've been waiting on stock for the Ikea MATCHSPEL since before Christmas, spewing I miss out on the last sale of this one. Tempted to get this.

I would suggest not to buy this. It is still too much money for what you get.

Okay as the poster of the last deal I think I've had enough time to give you all a decent enough idea.

    1. It's still damn comfy, I can't fault it on that front. Back support is excellent. As a very skinny guy, I initially thought the mesh was a little hard to sit on but I've gotten used to it. I think it's excellent. The mesh has been absolutely great in this weather. My ass and back is no longer sweaty :P I actually quite like the headrest, I adjust it based on how I'm sitting, eg. if I'm leaning back I'll tweak it a bit and I find it fairly easy to use. My headrest doesn't rattle, shake or move unless I try to move it.

    2. I'm still not sold on the arm rests. I personally like to sit tucked into the desk so the arm rests kinda get in the way of that for me. The arm rests only rotate horizontally in a 60 degree arc left/right so you can't fold the arms all the way back to support you while you lean backwards which is a shame. I've actually installed the arm rests backwards to get them out of the way of the desk and to get support when leaning back. Maybe I just shouldn't get arm rests on chairs but that's my two cents on them. The adjustability thing has been pretty fun to play with especially when playing on the phone.

Would I buy it again? Yes.

  • Also I'm a little pissed off that they had a sale a few weeks after I posted my deal for around $489 after their boxing day sale so keep that in mind

  • Anyone have a referral code?

Ordered Tuesday night, dispatched from Sydney Monday morning, received suburban Brisbane just under a week later Tuesday morning via Direct Freight Express.

Inside the box the seat and backrest are wrapped in silvered foam bags, rest of the parts inside separate labelled cardboard boxes. Single page instruction sheet as well as a fancy card envelope with some fancy booklets (textured heavy card material) with adjustment instructions ("Key Calibrations - Calibrate to your body for maximum ergonomic comfort" a little wanky but it is well done) and a letter from the company director.

In the box with bolts and tool; yes singular, all bolts use the same 5mm allen T-handle tool provided. Each set of bolts are in individual clamshell packs, labelled with a letter code and where they're installed. The instructions use the letter code to very easily reference which pack to use. Also provided is a clamshell pack with spare bolts, looks like one of each of the 3 bolt types/lengths.

Pretty standard assembly, everything fits together pretty easily.

Very early impressions: Mesh feels very good, their hybrid mesh does seem to make a difference, way less scratchy than a cheap mesh I used a while back. The headrest is very adjustable but downside is there's a bit of play which makes a little bit of noise occasionally when moving. Not a big problem but for me I might design and 3D print some clamps to hold it in place. Armrests are a bit high for my table, at its lowest setting only barely fits under my shortish 71cm from ground to underside desk when I'm sitting on on the chair but when I'm not I can't push the chair under my table to get it out of the way. As Kerjifire said above, I might try mounting them backwards; or fabricate some spacers to lower them slightly. Lumbar support feels good, even as you lean back; the way the tilt functions, it follows the same spot on your spine. Unlike some chairs I've tried where as you lean back the different points of contact on your back drift apart and pulls on your shirt/skin.

    Overall, very good, highly recommended.

Pretty much the same experience for me. Received it in Brisbane within 24 hours of being shipped out of Sydney. Box was packed well, easy to put together. Parts seem sturdy/good quality, comfortable so far.
