Hi all,
due to the recent closed down of Suncrops benefit gift card portal, I chose to move on to Macquarie Bank solely for their gift card portal that has no transaction fee and gift card is instant.
The Caltex GC on the portal is only 2%, whereas the Wish GC is 4%. My question is has anyone tried to use the wish gift card for petrol at Caltex and shops at Woolworths or Big W?

My comment assumes you know the difference between an EG / Caltex Woolworths service station and an Ampol or Caltex service station, but just in case you need a refresher…:
An EG / Caltex Woolworths service station is a location listed on the EG Australia website.
An Ampol or Caltex service station is all the service stations shown on the Ampol website that is not listed as a Woolworths Caltex.

You can redeem some Woolworths Group gift cards (including EG / Caltex Woolworths gift cards and WISH gift cards) at participating EG / Caltex Woolworths service stations across Australia.
I called the Woolworths Group gift card team a few months ago, and they said that there are a few EG / Caltex Woolworths service stations across Australia that choose to not accept any Woolworths Group gift cards, because they’re apparently franchise locations. They couldn’t tell me which service stations do not accept it, because it apparently changes all the time! However, my guess is that the locations that do not accept EG / Caltex Woolworths gift cards and WISH gift cards are:
To answer your question, I have used EG / Caltex Woolworths eGift Cards, WISH physical gift cards, WISH eGift Cards and Essentials physical gift cards at EG / Caltex Woolworths service stations for years and I’ve had zero issues. I also have not come across an EG / Caltex Woolworths service station that does not accept any Woolworths Group gift cards, but they apparently exist!
I know the following is not what you’re asking about in this forum post, but I’ll include it for future reference:
You can redeem physical AmpolCash gift cards at all EG / Caltex Woolworths service stations (probably including the three stations listed above).
You cannot redeem digital AmpolCash gift cards at any EG / Caltex Woolworths service stations, as they do not have the correct barcode scanners to be able to accept AmpolCash Digital gift cards.
As you probably are aware, Ampol is currently rebranding all their fuel stations from Caltex to Ampol, as the company currently holding the Caltex trademark in Australia (i.e. Ampol) has been told they cannot use the Caltex trademark in Australia beyond this year. The sticking point is EG, because they’re apparently so unhappy about having to ditch the Caltex trademark that they’re actually suing Ampol over it…
You cannot redeem any Woolworths Group gift cards at any Ampol or Caltex service stations. A small proportion of Ampol or Caltex service stations used to accept them, but that came to an end around September last year.
I’m not sure whether you can redeem EG / Caltex Woolworths gift cards or WISH gift cards at Ampol Woolworths Metro service stations or the only Caltex Woolworths Metro service station that apparently still exists, because these service stations are Ampol or Caltex service stations (i.e. they are not EG / Caltex Woolworths service stations), but they have a Woolworths Metro convenience store instead of a Caltex StarMart or Ampol Foodary convenience store.
I know the following is not what you’re asking about in this forum post, but I’ll include it for future reference:

Hot tip, if they take your everyday rewards card, or accept the woolies 4c/litre off discount, they are likely to take wish giftcard. Just go in one of them and ask

All Eg fuel stations and most of the Ampol/Starmart service stations (90%of them) accept the 4c’s voucher.
There isn’t a convenient distinction between the two sets based on the 4cents voucher acceptance criteria.

Nearly all EG / Caltex Woolworths service stations accept the 4c discount voucher (or 6c discount voucher in Tasmania), except the following service stations:

@Gervais fanboy: Is there a counter example you know, where the service station takes the woolies gift card, but doesnt accept the everyday reward card and doesn't accept the woolies 4c voucher? In which case I've missed them.
But if you know if a store which doesn't take the woolies gift card but accept the reward card or accept the petrol discount, then let OP know to avoid those. I havnt come across them.

Yes @ Woolworths branded Ampol. Not all Ampol station takes Woolworths GC.
