Deal and Delivery Failure by adidas and Australia Post

Thought I got me a deal last year:

Anyway so after 3 months of fart arsing around, Aust Post finally fess up to losing my parcel at its depot which is only 4km from the adidas warehouse the day after it was collected.

Even tho they admit to losing it their scanners show it never left the depot so a staff member probably some wannabe gangster type who loves the red shoes stole them

They tried to fob me off to adidas to resolve but changed their minds quick and I told them to do it on four occasions

Adidas were hopeless and wouldn't provide any shoes at all only a refund for shoes worth almost three times as much.

      • No I'm angry that the shoes were available paid for packaged and sent and my two 18 yr old twins didn't get xmas presents they wanted

  • Hey, So they're not going to sort the cashback, but if the big issue for you is that they were on special/discount and you're saying that they still sell the shoes then you could try CALLING their customer service and politely explaining it. I've never had experience with addidas, and I know it depends entirely on the company, but you may get a good agent who actually understands you paid $72 as they were half price and find a way to sell them again to you over the phone for just $72 or somehow issue a discount code/voucher or something. Phone is personal. Chat/messaging are usually agents dealing with 5 cases simultaneously and just pasting standard replies to clear cases quickly. Be honest at the start, say you paid $72 for the shoes half price on a sale and they got lost in the post for the last 3 months and you've been waiting for them to sort it now you would just like to buy them again and pay $72 and can they find a way to do that. If they handle calls themselves then hopefully they can help you.
    But if you're saying you would have got the difference as cashback etc then you're out of luck I'm afraid until that shop does another cashback.

    • Yeah I did that too messaged their online chat and they generated a 30% off code for the exact shoes I wanted and also I thought I lost the cashback but it was never refunded and went through twice 😂
