Can I install topeak babyseat 2 on a bike with dual suspension?

Hello ozbargainers

Does anyone know if I can install topeak babyseat 2 on a bike with dual suspension? I googled it but wasn't able to find any information.

This is the bike.

NO. Google "topeak babyseat 2"and look at how it is fitted to the bike…

Then look at the bike you have and see how the back wheel suspension is and think about it what will happen if you do it.

  • Makes sense, thanks @AndyC1

I think I would enjoy riding an elevator more than riding that bike.

No one asked for my opinion but I find anyone that is trying to ride a bike with a baby is irresponsible. It's such a dangerous way to transport with your precious child. If you truly care about your child you wouldn't do it.

    • Perceived or real risk? Have any stats to support your claim? And I don't mean cycling in general I mean stats to show babies injured when cycling.

      • If it's riding on the road mixed in with other road users and vehicles, do you really need stats to be able to say that it's a risky thing to do? Especially with drivers' attitudes the way they are towards cyclists.

Different story if it's in a recreational place like Centennial Park or something.

If something bad does happen, would it make a difference to you or make you feel any better if the stats said that it was a one in a million chance?

      • This is ozbargain not a newspaper article why would I need to quote stats. It's just common sense parenting. Why would you want to put your precious baby in a 2 wheel bike that only takes an off balance rider to topple over. Sure risk may be low if you're super confident rider. For me I don't understand why put yourself in that situation to begin with. Just use a pram or baby carrier and go for walks, or exercise on your own while the baby is being cared for.
To add my 2 cents worth I am an experienced road bike, mountain bike and motorbike rider and parent.
