Oz Certified Light Switches

Hi,
Can anyone recommend any good smart light switches that are actually Australian certified? It seems whereever I look they claim to be Oz certified however the certification shows some other model from the range that actually passed the certification.
We require panels that may have from 1 to 4 switches on it (and if possible options to have two-way setup as there may be lights that could be controlled from multiple locations). Dimming is optional.
Appreciate the help.

PS. I have looked at the Deta range from Bunnings but want to check if there are any other options available.

    uhhh……

ALL electrical products sold in "legitimate" shops whether physical or E-stores (in Australia) have to be AS/NZS certified. Shops cant just import bullshit dangerous non certified electrical gear from China or India and flog them off.

If you buy dodgy electrical gear from ebay or out of a car boot at some dicey market, well good luck.

Its going to be easier to find what you want by going through OEM websites (HPM, Deta, Clipsal, etc) first then search for that part number via google

I am going with Clipsal Saturn zen plates and switches, but using Shelly1 smart relays.

Not the cheapest way to do it, but fully compliant and the Shelly's don't need the internet to work out be setup.

    • Hey mate, if i am understanding correctly,

the plate is the plastic "face" of the thing.
the switch is the physical thing you toggle off and on for the light
the smart relay is the tiny box thing that goes behind it in the wall to make it "smart"

      is that correct?

based on your set up, what are the rough cost for each 1 (so 1 plate, switch and relay)?

also, is there a reason you are using Shelly1 smart relay instead of Shelly Dimmer 2 (im lost so just asking)

    • Thats a nice setup. I did consider it however the cost was way too high to have that many smart relays as I think I would have needed around 2-3 relays per switch plate.

      • can you expand on that? why would you need 3 per switch plate? im completely lost lol

is that because some plates have 2 or 3 toggles and the relay only works for each toggle right?

        • Yes, thats correct. Based on my readings so far, if there are 4 switches/toggles on a single plate, the max number of toggles that a relay can manage is 2 which means you would need 2 sets of relays for 4 toggles. Atleast thats my understanding unless someone can show me otherwise.

          • @johnnybravo: so lets say you need at least 20 relays, at 20 bucks each (im guessing) thats about 400?

then you need the actual switch if you want a different one, as well as a faceplate.

so you're looking at over $2k for the house?

            • @bigballerbrand: As I said it is not the cheapest but it does look good, and you can also have the led lights come on when the lights are on and off when the light is off, and other combinations of always on etc.

The prices are around $30 for each bell press with led.

Plates are around $30-$50 depending on how many switches

Shelly's are either Shelly 1 at about $16 each in a pack of 10 with 1 free

Or you can go with Shelly 2.5 which is basically two 1s in a single package. They are $30 a pop.

Shelly dimmers have gone up since I got mine, now about $45.

I will have spent well over $1000 for the house by the time I finish the renos.

As a general rule try to keep it to just two physical Shelly units behind a switch plate as 3 is quite tight in the wall cavity
