YouTube Premium via Indian VPN

Hi guys,

Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

Originally following a process similar to this one: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/671059 I have been on YTP via India since 2020, and the family plan since Oct 2021. Recently though, my details were wiped from my account (presumably by Google) and I can’t seem to get my account back into the green. I have the original details re: address/state etc, but I’m not able to get it to rebill me when I update my card and address back to either the address I had on file or my card’s current residential address in Australia.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

    • Yes! I do. I just can’t get it to rebill me now that it’s already tried. Don’t know why, or what I’m doing wrong. Surely in payment details you don’t put your India address for your card, that would prevent it from processing. I’ve put my current bank address in like you would for anything else and it seemingly won’t budge.

    Using Edge? Try chrome.
    Also try VPN on phone and try upgrading on mobile

    Same problem. YouTube won't deduct the subscription fees to my card.

    I changed to Argentina to renew the premium but YouTube shows that YouTube premium is not available in this country.

    Not sure what to do now

    • Yep, still can’t get it to bill me - and I’ve tried everything short of another card, or swapping regions like you did.

        Do you use one of those virtual card, one-time disposable card to renew the sub?

        I resolved this problem by switching to argentina region and use actual credit card # (no int. transaction fees of course) and everything went fine.
