Hey all. I’ve read various forum topics about people getting scammed and charged back from things like PayPal. Just wanted to confirm is it okay to get paid via PayID. As in the buyer won’t be able to chargeback.

Just don't use your mobile number for oayid however they will have the full name on your bank account which is easy to track you.
You normally gotta give your phone number to people on gumtree anyway for contact.
I've given my mobile number to many people over gumtree sales and no one has ever harassed me for a refund but I also don't sell broken goods to people.
The problem is depending on amount, it's not instant for a first time transfer.

Stick with the age old mantra. "Gumtree is for face-to-face Cash transactions only".
That post doesn't prove that PayID can be reversed, it's just the OP's paranoid speculation.
PayID is a type of OSKO payment.
It cannot be reversed unless the recipient (seller) authorises the reversal & there was some sort of error in the amount / name.
Banks can hold payments for up to 24 hours for first payments depending on amount.

except that if you use your mobil as payid then they know your phone and could be harrasing you later to ask for refund for example
