Hello, I've noticed that the "Welcome to The Taiko Stadium!" for Taiko No Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! on the US Nintendo eShop is currently free, whereas in the Australian eShop we have to pay $1.45. To get the free DLC on your Australian copy of the game follow these steps:

1. Create a new Nintendo account and set the region to "United States" or you can change your Nintendo account's region to "United States" (If you select the latter then skip step 2 and move to step 3)
2. Create a new User on your Nintendo Switch and link your US Nintendo account to it (And select one of the options below)

Option 1 (eShop):
3. Open the eShop as the US account and then search for "Welcome to The Taiko Stadium!"
4. Click Free Download and download the free DLC

Option 2 (Web browser)
3. Click on the deal link (Which leads to the Nintendo US Taiko No Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! eShop page)
4. Scroll down to Individual DLC, click "See 130 more", then press CTRL + F and search "Welcome"
5. Select "Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! Welcome to the Taiko Stadium!" and click free download
6. Login with your US Nintendo account and add it to your account
7. Open up the eShop as the US account, then click your profile icon at the top right corner, then click Redownload
8. From here locate "Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun!" and click the download icon

Following these steps will unlock the "Welcome to The Taiko Stadium!" song in Taiko mode.

*Notes: The DLC works on the Australian version of the game, despite being free only in the US eShop. The DLC will show up in your game regardless of the user account selected when opening the game (E.g, using your main Switch user account to open the game will still let you access the DLC).

    No problem and yup, if you open the game using your Australian user account, you'll still have access to the DLC. However, I'm not too sure if deleting the US user account from your switch will remove the DLC from your console too.

  how long is this available for? do you need a us nintendo switch account to claim?

    You can just swap your local account to America temporarily to redeem it, then it registers to your account and you can swap back to Australia.

    You can swap the region @ accounts.nintendo.com under your user profile and region I think. It will unlink your NNID but you can simply relink that afterwards.

    From memory you might need $0 balance to swap regions, your NSO subscription and any gold coins are preserved, but will only be visible in the original region, so it will look like you might have no NSO sub or gold coins whilst your swapped to America, but once swapped back they are present again.

    I'm not too sure how long it's available for but you can just change your main Nintendo account's region to US if you want.
