Saw this in Costco's email and bought one immediately. My partner and I love to have hot pot at home when we are too lazy to cook. Just buy the soup base and all ingredients in any Asian supermarket and dinner is sorted.

Product page is here: https://tescom.com.au/wpt/product/electric-hot-pot-grill-gpf…

One day deal only.

Oh, and it is made in Japan, if it matters to you. :)

  • I really don't see how this is a deal when you can either use the grill or hotpot one at a time only, at a cost of $199, when something like this which allows both to be used at once costs only $37.55 and can accomodate for 4 - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/265469416561?chn=ps&_ul=AU&mkevt…

Not suggesting there aren't cheaper options but that cheapie doesn't look great for cooking fatty food.

No offence but looking at the quality of the item from its pictures, you could probably buy it even cheaper from aliexpress or taobao if price is your only concern. :)

      • I put that up just for illustration. In saying that, I've found that a lot of the cheaper option isn't inferior in quality. Lots have stuff from aliexpress for example have lasted almost a decade and going strong, at a fraction of brand name alternatives. $199 just doesn't seem very attractive that's all. It would be if it's half of that, but not at $199 to me.

        • I looked at cheaper ones too but from my experience electronics from china would have a higher chance of breaking. Sending it back to the seller would be a pain as well so buying something like this will at least save the hassle.

          • @MrKD: A lot of electronics are made from China these days. I've bought 2 OEM Vitamix type blenders that spin to 10krpm, a UFO type air fyer, various android tablets, electronics etc that have all lasted at least 3-5 years and still going strong, with some even up to 10 years. But I agree that if you're unlucky and received a non-working item, sending it back to the seller is a pain. I just haven't had the same experience that you had with electronics breaking. I use my stuff pretty heavily, and they have all lasted a long time.

Looks good, I need a hotpot at home option but not a bargain for non-members as $60 membership fee.

Thanks, got one. I remembered it's selling at $399 or 349 at Hello Kitchen and it's been on my watchlist for quite a long time.

Omg thanks OP! I was eyeing on this one and was going to buy this weekend. Now that it is $100 less today I instantly bought!

Great find op! Been waiting for one for ages, cheapest I've ever seen it. We were using a cheapo electric skillet (the steel ones you'd burn yourself touching) for decades. Then upgraded to a Zojirushi one & build quaility & convenience to use & clean was definately worth the price!
