Woolworths Qantas Credit Card Now with 16,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer Points ($89 Annual Fee)

140

Apply by 31 August, be approved and make a purchase before 31 October and receive 16,000 Qantas FF points.

20,000 points if you apply by tomorrow - http://everydayrewardscreditcard.com.au/20kfeb12/

For those who don't know, this card is one of the best rewards cards offering 1 Qantas FF point per $1 spent and because it's Mastercard, you can use it pretty much anywhere. The Qantas FF store has a good range to choose from.

Another plus is that the Everyday Rewards barcode is printed on the back of the card for scanning at Woolworths, etc.

The only minor downside is that their online system doesn't show authorised transactions, only completed transactions. Apparently this feature will be available soon. Oh, and international fees incur charges of a few percent like most cards.

And always pay the full balance by the due date! ;)

  • By the way, the design of the card has changed. I'm not sure why they haven't updated the website yet. It's now in the usual platinum colour, like NAB/CBA's platinum cards.

Use this link before tomorrow for 20,000points (same $89 fee)

    • 20000 points for $89. Very tempting. Can you cancel it after a year?

        1. Annual fee of $89 waived in the first year. The first annual fee will be debited on the 12th month anniversary of the account opening date, providing a transaction has been made on the account.

The price to purchase 20,000 frequent flyer points - A$557.50

        • The actual value of 20000 frequent flyer points? alot less!!!

        • can you please link to the terms and conditions that mention a waived fee?

        • I think the free annual fee offer is over but that only had 5000 points.

        • The actual value of 20000 frequent flyer points? alot less!!!

That depends a LOT on the fares available when you need them. My daughter and her partner recently had to fly to Melbourne on very short notice, and a fare that they could get when specials are running for less than $200 was going to cost $1200 - would have used around 15 000 frequent flyer points.

Yeah, I applied for the 20k points one. I can't speak for the listed deal for 16k.

        • Thanks for the info

    • Cheers for the link. Have had Westpac Altitude Platinum for years and bought gift cards. Slowly coming around to QFF to use on OS travel. Got the Jetstar card, and already got my 30000 points….time to move on to the next card :). The $89 fee is the only killer, although the points are still worth more than $89.

  • Is this one of the better rewards cards around if you don't spend heaps (less than <$20K a year)?

I've got an AMEX rewards card at the moment and while theoretically it is good value, it just doesn't compare to Mastercard/Visa in terms of being accepted at places.

    • Yes only because you get 1 point per $1 spent. Most Visas or MCs are 1 point per $2 spent.

  • I rather have a free CC.

    • With rewards though?

      • Rewards, not worth it. I'll get my share via everydayrewards and business trips, am not forking out another 90 bucks every year to get a couple more.

        • For us, we pay everything on credit card so we get a heap of points and easily make the $89 back plus more in gift cards, etc.
