Got this set for child number 3 last year for just under $100. It's so good I'm tempted to buy it again. Not as good a price as EB Games clearance they had after Christmas, but best price on Amazon ever I think.

My kid is only 5, so there’s no rush for it. Should I wait a few more months? Or should I pull the trigger now? I’m pretty obsessed with Mario so I’d hate to miss out on it forever or have to pay over RPP for it in 2 years time.
This set is still currently in production so you're safe to wait for now. You can check the Lego website to see which Mario sets are retiring soon/hard to find, and snatch those up because they will definitely increase in price once they are out of production.
Good some believes Lego retiring sets . The good ones normally sneak off with no warning from them .
