Launch price. Guess it will go higher soon. Reasonable price for budget gamers at last.

Every reviews by all the famous gaming youtubers all gave this GPU thumbs down, telling buyers don't bother. AMD is such a shame this time …
Such a terrible card. It gets bottlenecked with pcie 3.0, losing about 20% performance compared to pcie 4.0. Up until recently, only the more expensive mobos had pcie 4.0. But this is a budget GPU…
It also seems to perform <50% of the rx 6600
Says pcie4 on the box?
Yeah, that was the issue. This is a pcie4 card, but unless you've got a new motherboard, you're going to have to use a pcie3 slot, which will make the card perform even slower.
If your graphic card burnt and need one cheap replacement to do some office works ASAP, maybe you can consider this card, otherwise, according several reviews, avoid it.
$400 is “cheap” now. So crazy.
Wow, messed it up pretty bad eh.. sad.
What's the comparison for a nvidia card with this card?
A gtx1650super will probably outperform it
A 1650 SUPER more than likely.
Which can be found on eBay for around $395.
The one $319 6500 XT card on PCCaseGear is probably a better deal than a used 1650 SUPER. But beware, some games will make the 6500 XT perform worse than a 1650 SUPER like F1 2021 or even Rainbow 6 Siege
This card is pretty much only viable if your old GPU clapped out and you just need something cheap to play some games till a real deal comes along. But even at $320 I wouldn't say this is "cheap". Back in 2016 that kind of money got you close to a 1060 6GB like the old Galax 1060 6GB which retailed at $329. This AMD card looks good in this market, but in MSRP pricing, the 6500 XT is a bad deal.
Gtx 1050Ti if your mobo and or CPU aren't PCIE Gen 4
Try get a used RX 580 for $250-300 it’s a better deal.
How and where lol
Facebook MP, it's only 8 GB that is expensive
this gpu is scheiße as germans might put it
Pretty detailed review here: https://au.pcmag.com/graphics-cards/91983/gigabyte-radeon-rx…
This card can't mine and has worse FPS per dollar than just about every other card on the market. No deal.
Also, $319 at PCCG.
This card is $399, if you compare it to used 5500xt $450-550 and 580 $300-400, it technically still is a ‘deal’ in this market, but to each their own
No it's really not a deal at all, RX570 or RX580 4GB is a much better buy and much cheap too,
https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p249933…
570 4gb around the $250-350 mark. Why wouldn’t you get a $319 brand new 6000 series?
Because the 6500 Xt is worse than most cards released in the last 5 to 7 years
$399, for that ?
The reviews have been really bad, and its at the bottom of the scale anyway. $100 is probably the maximum, to take it off your hands.
Absolute junk in 2022. Rx580 is nearly 5 years old. Just buy a console.
Consoles are traps.
Only reason to buy is the warranty it has. Other than that just fingers crossed eBay/PayPal on your side if you do decide to buy second hand.
e-waste
This card is DOA.
DO NOT BUY!This card shouldn't exist
This or a used 1070 for same price?
Used 1070. It’s like 50% faster.
EVGA should release a card for this, but call it the WTF Edition.
Galax actually had a WTF line for some RTX 2000 cards.
Get this only if you want a new card. If you have OCD, and really hate “used” cards, then this is for you.
Avoid this rubbish unless its for excel only!
I know some people don’t have a choice, but $400 for this is just crazy. That’s nearing console territory and a console would shit all over this card.
And before someone says “but you can’t find consoles anywhere!”. Well they might be in short supply, but everyone I know that’s wanted one has one. So it’s not as bad.
Is this a good match up with an old H97 itx motherboard? Need something to replace the integrated GPU to play some games and do a bit of video editing. Don't really have the budget for a complete system replacement but want to get something that we can bring across to a new system at a later date? Would waiting for the 3050 be a better bet?
Nope, in a parallel universe, I might use it with a modern motherboard with PCIe 4.0, but would not touch it if my motherboard was PCIe 3.0.
Also, this card doesn't have h264, h265 nor AV1 hardware video encode. So not sure what type of video editing you are doing, but I would recommend doing more research on what your video editing software requires before deciding which GPU to purchase.
Why pay $399 for a turd when you can pay $319 for the same turd. It's not like the GPU requires better cooling…..
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/678495Not even remotely a deal here
give it a year and i reckon these cards will be below $100.
a used 1070 is cheaper, more powerful, and can output to more than 2 screens…
would doubt the price will go higher later:
1 it does not do well in mining job
2 it does not do well in gaming job
3 ok for web browsing/office work/non GPU gaming, but why not using integrated GPU for this.designed for idiots, who see the next model going for 800 and they see 399 on this and choose it based on nothing else, simply because it was cheaper.
Does that make everyone buying a graphics card in this market an idiot because they're paying twice as much as RRP?
It's all bad, but the 6500 is truely the worst possible card released this gen.
Still much faster than iGPU for gaming.
Just looked at HUB review. Across 12 games on average, it was worse than it's predecessor the 5500 XT.
