Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Electric Toothbrush Heads 6pk $35.99 Delivered @ Costco Online (Membership Required)

390

6 replacement heads for $35.99 delivered which equates to $6 a pop. Cheapest ever according to CamelX3 and certainly the cheapest I’ve ever seen them. Both black and white available to match your handle. Pack of 6 will last a year if you stick to their 60 day brush change recommendation.

These are the W (whitening) heads and technically the older model as they now have W2 and W3 heads (though Phillips directly still sells W heads in any case).

Doubt the newer models clean your teeth any better it’s more a personal preference on feel. I’ve used W heads for a while and find them comfortable.

Happy Dealing!

These are not genuine sonicare heads. Compatible yes, however not exactly apples to apples. For the $10 over a year I will (and I expect most others rocking a Phillips Sonicare) pay the premium for genuine heads.

They're not, no, but I've been using them for a couple of years now and they're absolutely fine.

        • Yeah I suspect they would be, I do believe however they are missing the inbuilt chip which connects to the handle and by extension Bluetooth App (if you use it) to give you information on your brushing and life left on the toothbrush.

      looks like not original

Note the one you linked are aftermarket and not Genuine Philips.

      Brand: rebeccalia

      They aren’t genuine

Go ahead and neg me if you want but they work great and you're saving money, which is the point of this site.

      • +2

Don't worry they weren't mine. jje makes a valid point people - if you don't care about genuine then these are nearly 50% cheaper.

Thanks, at least you understand :) I hope that both our posts will help people.

            @jje: Happy 100 comments btw ;)

            • @Pelicannn: Heh thanks, I hadn't realised I'd done that many.

  • Question to anyone that has used both the Phillips and Oral B. I find the Phillips to be super harsh even on low compared to the Oral B.

    Has anyone noticed this?

    • +3

I didn't find Philips more harsh than Oral B, but I did find the vibration was more effective in cleaning than the oscillation on the Oral B. Perhaps you need to try the Sonicare Sensitive brush head if you haven't already tried it.

      • I just had the standard brush, so I might give this a go. But I think it's more the vibrations that are the issue.

I switched from Oral B to Phillips last year. At first I noticed I was getting a lot of cut up gums and sensitivity but after a few weeks it went away and now the clean does feel superior. The cleaning action of the two is very different and if you go from Oral B to Phillips you need to change how you brush a little bit. Pressure makes a big difference too. I find that I need very little pressure to get a good clean with the Phillips where the Oral B I had to press harder to get a similar feeling.

I tend to use the lower settings for the side to get up into the gums and the higher power setting for the front teeth to give them a polish. Try using less pressure is my recommendation, alternatively speak to your dentist as they might have some ideas on your brushing technique. Took me 25 years before a Dentist told me I was flossing like an idiot and always causing my mouth to bleed until she showed me how to do it properly so you are never too old to learn.

      • I think it's more as the poster above mentioned, it's the vibrations which make it feel a lot more harsh.

I have sensitive gums and battled with a bit of gum recession post braces.
Been using the Sonicare for years but about a year ago decided to stick to manual brushing with the softest, finest, dense set of bristles.
Gums have been much happier and healthier for it, and my oral hygiene is great.
Many will say that in all instances electric toothbrushes are better, but I think it's most important to pay attention to how your mouth is responding to it.
Manual is fine if you know what you are doing, and a potentially slightly cleaner tooth surface isn't worth it if it results in unhealthier gums and exposing the lower portion of your teeth.

      • Yeah I have gone back to manually brushing. I don't have sensitive gums or issues, I just felt like it was doing more harm in a sense.

for those that dont have costco membership, shaver shop $36.95 , not sure if $10 off with new sign ups still works

    • +1

This is also a great deal and not bad if you want to try some different heads to see which one you prefer!

    • is there a difference between your link and these ones: https://www.shavershop.com.au/philips/sonicare-wc-diamondcle…

These are just 2 pack for $28.. but I noticed your link doesn't say "DiamondClean" in the label.

If it's the same, then this is a really good deal from Shaver Shop.

      • +1

the link you posted is the smaller brush head, as for the link i posted yes they are for diamond clean, but maybe just give them a call to dbl check

  • What's the price in store.

    • Costco usually provides the same discount in-store however shipping is free so you are saving the trip in any case.

  • The Phillip sonicare toothbrush I had stopped working after 2 year. As the twin pack toothbrush both of them seems to break down on the same time and warranty has just passed.

    • How far after 2 years? It's an unwritten rule that Phillips had but extra for warranty claim. From memory mine does 2 years , 3 months, and I got sent a new one. Worth asking.

    • +1

I've had mine for 6-7 years. Hasn't missed a beat. I would recommend this brush to anyone btw. I changed from half hearted grot to very hygienic. This brush makes your mouth feel spotless.

    • Bummer worth contacting them in any case, ACL can be your friend when it comes to acceptable quality. An expensive toothbrush you should expect more then 2 years of use.

Ironically I switched from Oral B to SOnicare after my 9000 died after 15 months or so…
