  • So these used to be paid?

    • +1

no they are effectively Beta versions

      • +1

So once the beta version becomes paid version, are users allowed to get the paid version for free if they have beta version in their oculus library?

        • No you'll need to purchase the release title from the official store.

@Phlojak: That’s not specifically how it works right?
I mean app lab games can get promoted to full sale and you retain your license… that’s how I understood it.
You can purchase games from App Lab, it’s not just for demos.
Look at Ragnarock which recently graduated to full sale, users who bought it in beta kept their license

  • They're generally free "Indie" type games, and 99% like on Steam are trash

    Chocolate
    https://www.oculus.com/experiences/rift/1810750645607190
Set to the song of the same name by Giraffage, Chocolate is a wondrous experience that transforms your hands into cannons that spray cute, colorful chrome kittens onto a circle of people performing a ritualistic dance just for you, their robot god. You shoot giant shock waves into the vast, liquid-like landscape while a herd of giant cat heads migrates in the distance, and a massive tribal chief cat sprays champagne all over you. Everything is shiny and glimmering, smooth and sexy, cute and strange, overwhelming and astonishing.

That second one sounds like someone trying to create some kind of VR 'stoned off your face AND tripping' experience. Just reading the description has warped my brain.

  • Any of these actually decent?

    • +2

They all look a bit average, except maybe Gladiatus, maybe unstung.

I highly recommend Gods of Gravity. Free game, sorta RTS, with multiplayer, devs regularly updating it. One of my fav native quest games.
