I'm pretty interested in the recently announced Samsung Freestyle. I know there are other projectors on the market with potentially better specs, but they don't seem to have the flexibility and other gimmicks that admittedly appeal to me.
Should I get it at the $1500 price point on release? Or will there be better deals after a few months? I'm not too familiar with how these new releases normally pan out in terms of sales.
i'd also get it at $750-800 but its not worth the $1500.

Doesn't seem to be anything amazing there, Xiaomi already make a cheaper projector that's brighter and does similar autocorrecting for less (one that is also short throw, which is useful).
The flexibility is neat, but really, how often do you haul a projector out and project on random surfaces? Seems the kind of think you'd use once a year, most people have TVs in their house if you want to watch something.
