Second this!
I think S21, especially, S21+ or Ultra is a bit thicker or something, hence, needs more power for wireless charging.
10w, these days you need alot higher wattage, 10w is just so slow.
Isn’t this 20W?
10w+10w I think
Oh ok thanks.
I like lower wattage to protect battery
Apparently wattage doesn't have a big impact - directly - it's just heat. If it gets hot while charging, that's not good. But absolutely no clue how batteries get while wireless charging!
Better to use a cable if you are serious about battery protection
As expected, cynett brand is just so so borderline do not buy unless you are desperately need and cannot wait
I have one of these and it works brilliantly for fasting charging my S9 and also chargers my wife's iPhone XS Max, both with covers on. Has a small white LED that lights up at the bottom front (and conveniently reflects off our glass table) to show that the phone is connected and charging.
What kind of things would I need to be looking for to get a wireless charger than works well with my iPhone 12 Pro (with a Quadlock case), I dont understand what is needed in terms of power and ability to penetrate the thicker case.
I also have Airpods V3 so they can wirelessly charge too.Wireless charging can only work up to a 3mm case. So for quadlock you need to buy their own quadlock wireless charger. No other wireless charger will work. They basically lock you in their system ;) I have their case and only put it on for a bike ride, then change to a normal slim case for normal day to day.
Yeah I thought that as well, but just thought I would see if anyone has had any experience with it. Bummer.
This charger would work with both your phone and Airpods. However, it might not work for your phone while in a QuadLock case.
Qi wireless charging requires a small data transmission between sender (the charger) and receiver (the device to be charged) and establishes the parameters of the device before it begins charging. This data transmission is very low power and can only transmit over very short distances.
In practical terms, it will only go through relatively thin, non-ferrous phone cases up to about 3-4mm thick. Beyond that, the system cannot reliably detect a device to charge and will not work.
QuadLock sell their own wireless charging puck which is designed specifically to work with these cases. However, a generic charger might not.
Thank you for the detailed reply, I appreciate it. Seems odd that theyre limited to 3-4mm thick, I wonder if they will get better in the future.
Bit of a bummer because I love the case and the attachments but would've loved to have wireless charging capability.
Thanks!
This may not work properly on s21 galaxies. I have the lower power rated model 10w I believe and it does not charge the missus s21 while it works fine on my s9
