I really don't understand this watch design aesthetic. The face of the watch is roughly half the diameter of the watch. It's literally just making a watch bigger for the sake of making it bigger. I understand making a large faced watch, but this looks like a 30mm field watch stuck inside a comically large case.
Each to their own, I'm sure it's a good watch, it's just not for me.

Can someone explain the housing around the bezel? Is that a removable plastic guard or is it just a really plastic looking part of the main housing?
yes it's removable. held in by threee 1.5mm hex screws
yeah, and the exposed holes would bother me lol. i'm working on finding a set of matching replacement screws to cut down so the head of the screw sits more flush with the case
