I was mentally preparing myself to label all the kids school stationary when I decide to see what easier options were out there.

This looked like a good deal.

  • Have you ordered from them before? How do the labels go in the dishwasher? And what are the clothing labels like? Cloth for sewing on?

Regular size labels from a previous deal used on Tupperware are still going strong after 2 years of dishwasher use.

Can't comment on the clothing ones as I have not tried.

    • I got some last year, they seem to last in the dishwasher 4-5 months and still visible. Clothing ones are iron on and still hold up after a years of washing.

    • Labels have been fine for three years of washing in the dishwasher. The clothing labels don’t like going in the dryer - I assume that’s why they start to peel off after a while.

They’re good value when on sale.

Should be useful for another year of home schooling…

    • Don't jinx it jv. I couldn't handle another year of home schooling.

      • QLD have already cancelled the first 2 weeks of term 1

They made the right call tbh. In the mist of the escalating cases it would be silly and irresponsible to send kids back to school. Guess it all comes down to whether you put your kids health or their education first.

            @a1b2c3e4f52002: Thus my first comment.

            • @jv: 2 weeks is very different from months/terms of home schooling.

              • @cch24: 2 weeks is just the start

  • I use boscobear, Groupon normally has $9 deals for personalised labels. Labels are still going after 2 years of washing.

Your water bill must be humongous !!!

Does someone remember Woolies free label? Good times.

  • $65 rrp seems ridiculous.

    • Only if you pay it.

  • Did their 'free' labels in previous offer (paid $5 delivery) nice labels, free ones took foreverrrr to arrive though. About a month from memory.

    • Oh. When you said forever I was thinking like several months.
Almost bought some so they'd arrive by the time my infant was ready to start school.

      • Pretty sure they will arrive by the time school starts for him/her. Even with covid closures, hopefully school will be fully open in a few years lol

I save the $20 on the labels and give it to little one when he takes care of his stuff … when something gets lost $20 is usually enough to replace it.

No wonder we live in a nanny state … #stopthelabels ;-)

    • That sounds kinda silly. At which point do you decide that he's taken care of his stuff? And what if he loses the stuff the day after you give him $20? And what if he loses multiple $20 items because they weren't labelled?

      • Probably helps kids recognise what is theirs with their names on it too.

    • Some schools/child care centres insist on it so they can tell what belongs to who.
