cheap way to get into electric tooth brushes if you don’t have one and not sure if it’s for you vs manual brush,

but the 100 is ni-mh battery not lithium if you are worried about charge cycles, lithium oral-b starts at about $60 depending on deals around, and that will, only come with one brush head.

      NiCd actually. Garbage battery.

Don't think it's ni-cad, that's been banned across Europe ages ago and I'd be very surprised if Braun does this.

        • I've got two oral b electric toothbrushes (vitality) here, one is made in germany and uses nimh, the other made in china with nicd.

cheap way to get into electric tooth brushes if you don’t have one and not sure if it’s for you vs manual brush

Might work out more expensive if you decide it is not for you. $40+ refills to get a free toothbrush vs $29 for toothbrush (sometimes it is under $20 when on sale) which includes 4 free different heads

interest might be current bundles and offers just got chemist warehouse to price match shaver shop on the pro3000, but i double people looking at $40 deal are interested in $76 for a li-ion and 1 brush head if it’s their first foray into oral-b electric.

        • I have a few different Oral B toothbrushes scattered throughout my house, including the 700, 2000, 5000 and 8000. Pretty happy with the 2000 as a good all rounder for those who looking to get the best one for their money and on a budget, and the 8000 build quality is the best.

    • Strange, because right there in the picture is says "NOT FOR RESALE"

    • I saw the ad on TV and from memory it was only at Coles?

    • From the same promotion previously at Woolworths, there's a difference package for the toothbrush - half a size of normal one; not for individual sales

If you can find it at Woolworths, it costs $25 but with the pack of 5 brushes then comes around $32. The promotion was ended, but I found at my local shop

I saw the toothbushes at Coles, the box says "not for resale". I suspect you take it to the checkout along with a qualifying refill kit to buy/claim.

I was paid for both $88 at Coles, After I check the receipt the handle is not free, I went to the front desk told to the supervisor, the supervisor told me need to claim online, but I told her to read it —-FREE ELECTRIC HANDLE with purchase of 1X 6pk Oral-B replacement brush head pack.

Then she told me she cannot see any Oral-B deal like this on the computer, call out the store manager, the manager look at the free note on the handle, and told the same thing to me need to claim online, they both don't understand what is that mean. my god, how hard to understand !!!!

I try to tell them it should be free if I buy the 6pk replacement head, in the end, The manager maybe too busy, then told the supervisor to do a refund and don't need to return both, so I got it for free!!!!

    • Just got one for the missus. The heads fit my Oral B AI, so I need the brushes anyway.

You scan both items, a credit appears for the toothbrush.

  • We have some form of Oral B toothbrush with a Ni-Cd battery - have been using regularly for two years and just now we're going to buy another as the battery isn't holding charge long enough for both of us to brush our teeth

Brush heads can be bought for around $5 each in bulk packs, definitely worth it for the difference in dental hygiene (electric vs manual toothbrush really is night and day)

  • If this is a NiCd battery I wouldn’t bother. NiMh would be a decent deal, but it most likely won’t be a lithium battery.

    • From my previous research only the xxxx (thousand) series may be lithium.

    • This has NiCd. I'm looking at it right now. Made in China.

  • how often are you meant to change the head? i've been using the same one for a year lol

    • Same as if you were using a manual toothbrush. Every three months.

  • I think it's preferable to get the 2000 model when it comes down in price to around $50.

  • Switched long ago to Oral-B Pro Expert with AA batteries. One brush for home, travel and will last much longer than units with built in battery - around $20.

I have the Oral B Vitality as recommended by my dentist, it's frequently $25 at Coles when on sale. It has a NiMH battery, works great. He said there's no real point in spending more than that, you don't get a discernible improvement in brushing or the like from the more expensive models.

    • At the end of the day you are paying for features. Do you really need a timer with bluetooth just to brush your teeth? I don't and will just get the base model handle.

  • I am using the basic vitality which cost me $20. According to the online feedback, the oral B pro 2 2000 is the best one for the value for money which cost $49 on special few months ago on Amazon. I will wait for this one.

  • how does it compared to ol fashion manual toothie?

  • Doesn't work at Coles.

    • I picked one up today.

      There are specially marked boxes.
