    Yes, isn't exactly ideal given these hops are prized for their delicate aroma and flavour - usually added late to the kettle or via a dry hop. Seems whole hop flowers dont last anywhere near as good as pellets - with it being recommended to use them by 2yrs. Now I am sure thats conservative and the seller has in CREDIT TO THEM disclosed this (many brew stores will not tell you how old the hops are or the year they were harvested). And they've also priced this in. I think it's still a good buy but perhaps you'll need a tad more of them than the recipe calls for.

  My hops have really taken off this year…. not sure what I will end up doing with all of them. The just grow so fast!

    make hop tea, put some inside your pillow to help you sleep, donate some to your local home brew club.

    i never got more than about 100g (dried) a year off of mine, used to just make a wet hop kolsch with it each year
