Just trying to figure out whether a GoGet back would be big enough or if we'd need to find something bigger? Has anyone done this before?
Would a King Size mattress fit in a GoGet van?
Comments
Are the Go-Get vans all the same?
is the mattress bendable/foldable/rollable?
So I googled 'GoGet Van Dimensions' and clicked the first link and found the below.
Examples of things GoGet vans can fit:

Internal cargo dimensions: 2.93m long, 1.545m wide, 1.33m highWhat about on an angle?
Try Pythagoras' theorem
If only you could Google how wide a king sized bed would be and how to calculate the length of a rectangle diagonal to see if it were able to fit.
King sized bed = 203cm long x 183cm wide
Vehicle space = 293cm long, 154cm wide, 133cm high
Diagonal = √ (154² + 133²)
D = 203cm.
Diagonal = √ (154² + 133²)
D = 203cm.That only works if a mattress has 0 thickness…
It could be 30cm or more, which would make the diagonal available dimensions less than this.But it's a weekend…and I'm not doing the maffs :)
(Also likely ignores wheel well intrusions in the vehicle also)But mattress also has some flex so would need to include the radius curve of the mattress based on its flex/deflection ratio ;)
@SBOB: Assuming the inside of the van is a perfect rectangle and the bed has no flex whatsoever, the maximum thickness of king size mattress OP could put in the back on the van is about 20.4cm (the allowance for the wheel arch could not be more than 15.4cm wide and 13.3cm high)
So, yes, you are correct, a 30cm mattress may not fit without a little… “persuasion”
At 30cm thick and using the shortest width inside the van as the radius, the longest width the mattress could be is 208~213cm if it were to be bent in an arc at around 90 degrees
Also, it’s late and I have probably messed up a number trying to do most of this in my head. :D
Look, perhaps I was being too subtle, but the point of my comment was that your question/post was rather pointless as much of it was answered from the first result of a simple search engine query.
No one knows what mattress you're buying, as even though lengths and widths are standardised, the height (thickness) can vary so no one can say for sure.
Good luck.
Cut it in 1/2 and stack it.

About 10 years ago I recall seeing a Holden Commodore zipping down a highway with a king size mattress on top of it, held in place by three arms of the three passengers…
To this day, I have no idea if they actually made it to their destination
Get a vehicle with a tow ball.
Go to Bunnings and buy a piece of wood and borrow a trailer.
Pick up mattress
Return trailer and then vehicleCan you pay for delivery?
Many IKEA mattresses now come rolled as a neat package that takes up minimal space. It also means you can take it home on the bus or train or fit it in the trunk.
The latest foam mattresses from Sleeping Duck, Koala, etc all come in a box. Ours has been great. If you're not after a new one, you may want to try rolling it first to see how much it can flex - seems it will affect the maths significantly
Moved a queen size mattress in one a few weeks ago. It fits flat across with some wiggling to get it in. I reckon you could move a king size easy on an angle, might get a bit of a bend to it to fit though
