Bauhn TV - Please Help Set It up with Google TV Remote

So we got this 4k Bauhn TV today from someone, and it is not in the TV list for CCGTV. I have tried looking up this website https://www.oneforall.co.uk/universal-remotes/urc-7935-strea… for alternate codes and tried everyone that had the same code as Bauhn, didnt work. We didnt get a remote with this TV so would really need it to work with this Chromecast remote, when I do have it on Auto CEC, it doesnt turn off the TV when I press the power button, it just turns off the Chromecast only.

Anyone else with a Bauhn TV and managed to get it to work with CCGTV please help! Thank you.

Edit : ive also tried other brands from what I read in Google, none worked (grundig, toshiba, hitachi etc) been going at it for the past hour just trying random ones at this point lol

Model is ATVS65-1116

Edit - figured out the TV hdmi-cec option was off, once that was on remote is working fine 😁

    FWIW, my mum got a Bose soundbar that didn't do ARC but came with a universal remote. I must have tried 100 different code sets on the remote including talking to Bose support but never managed to get it working. I came to the conclusion that Bauhn TVs are closed off in their control ecosystem, however wishing you luck in getting it working.

    Also might be hard to do without a remote, but it doesn't seem like your Auto CEC is working as it should turn the TV off with then chromecast. Typically not all the HDMI ports are enabled, so it could help to check if the TV indicates which reports support it, or just try in all of the ports 1 at a time to see if you can get it work? It also needs to be enabled on the TV.

      After trying lots of different brands, I eventually realised that the TV hdmi cec was disabled, once I enabled that then the remote worked even though I didn't "set up a tv" lol pretty derp. All sorted now thanks 😊

    Also looking for solutions - besides a gaming console, does anyone have any suggestions to play TV streaming services (Netflix, Binge, Disney etc) on a Bauhn TV? Would a firestick work? Thank you.

      The Chromecast remote worked once I enabled the hdmi cec on the TV itself so I'm guessing it would work with any other streaming devices hopefully.

          I just selected a random TV just to get the set up over and done with, and after it was set up, just go to options and selected the CEC options for the remote and it just worked. Bit weird but no complaints

          Hey just wondering, have you plugged in a usb/hard drive to the tv? Can't figure out how to get to it without using the "home" button as my universal remote doesn't have one, thought it would be in 'TV input' but no dice.

      I don't have a Bauhn but all the tvs I have seen in Aldi say Netflix, Prime etc apps included in the operating system, if its an android based one, login to google pay and dl any apps you need.

        Ah yeah but I already have a Google TV Chromecast and it's easier to just use that interface and remote. We didn't get a remote with the TV, but now we don't really need one

    I ran into the same problem with the same TV. Try Akai on add device. It works on volume and on/off. Doesn’t work on input though. Let me know if you need any help.

      I tried that one, I figured out that hdmi cec on the TV itself wasn't on, after that it worked when I just picked a random tv.

      But I'm having another problem now where it won't read any media on my external hds or usb. Does yours work OK?
