Hey guys, weird situation here. I purchased a Fold 3 and Samsung care while also using the trade in program for my S21U in early December. I received my new phone but after a week I did not receive any trade in instructions for my S21U nor did I receive any welcome messages or registration instructions for Samsung care.
I called Samsung and eventually the figured out it is because on their system I have not received my new device yet as the courier did not do something correctly on his end when delivering my new device.
The said they will put a note in their system to contact the courier to get this rectified. It is now January and I still have my old device that I was meant to trade in and still have no Samsung care on my new device. At what stage would I be safe to sell my old Samsung S21U? Will Samsung randomly ask me to send it to them in a year? Thanks.

I thought the whole deal was to get the trade in bonus and just pay the actual trade in value. Surprised anyone actually sent their phone back.
I've not been sent any instructions on my S21+ u got 3 weeks ago. My gf got nothing on her s21 she got 6 months ago.

No i dont think so as prices for used mobiles drop quite fast.
Just sell the phone, as long as it is more than the Samsung trade-in amount.
Best case they don't ask for it, worst case they ask you to pay back the trade in amount. Either way, winning.
Thanks for the replies everyone, i'm thinking of just rolling the dice and selling privately. Sucks i didn't get the Samsung care I paid for but the private sale would make up for that i guess.
Any updates? I still haven't received my email and thinking to trade it in again (another phone)
Nothing, already sold it on ebay lol
Lol, I'm planning to trade in the same phone for another flip 3. Best of luck to us both that asurion doesn't followup
