Porting out from Telstra (JB plan) for a month, options

Hi all,
Currently looking at prepaid options to port out for the month so we can port in for a JB deal, best options? Can we use Woolies or Aldi, who run from the Telstra network, or do we need to move to Optus/Vodaphone network. Our main issue is we are semi-regional so Optus/Vodaphone have poo reception to say the least..

I ported from Aldi to Telstra at jb hifi on the Boxing Day special.

  • FYI.
You need to be off the Telstra network for 90+ days to qualify as a “new customer” to take advantage of port in deals or new connection offers.

    • Must have had a change in the T&Cs recently as it’s been 30 days for years, but that’s cool in no rush, previous contract just ended.

    • I can confirm that it's 30 days and not 90 days, I don't know where you're getting that information from.

You DO need 30+ days off Telstra Network to qualify if you want to keep your number straight away, my old The Good Guys Telstra deal contract ended around mid November and I ported to Optus (crap service) and ported back to Telstra on Boxing day using the same deal.

I have to mention that I live in Sydney but at others mentioned before, some ported from Aldi to Telstra without problems.
