Good deal. Bought one just before Xmas for $75. That was a pretty good deal at the time. Great mouse btw. Super smooth glide, great RGB control, has a 10g weight which can be removed, all in all my little one is happy with his new gaming mouse 😀. PS: stock levels are limited on this variant (Western European), so grab it if you want it (experience from prior attempts to purchase).

Title says it's not the HERO version but the description says it is. I wouldn't touch the non-HERO version with a ten foot pole.

    • +1

      why's that?

      • +6

12g heavier, half the battery life, and poor(er) QC.

          • +2

@s1Lence: 12g might not seem like much but for a lot of people, especially wrist aimers, it can add up. I personally don't have a problem with weight, I use a 108g Basilisk Ultimate, but I know a lot of people do.

Battery life isn't a huge issue for desktop gamers, but on the go it can be important.

The G703 non-HERO is notorious for double clicking, and mine did it as well in less than a year on every switch, including the scroll wheel. Then it started cutting out in wired mode, and a year later the micro USB cable died.

It's not "another random thing" I added, it's a serious issue that plagues all Logitech mice and especially the first G703.

@s1Lence: just because your bad at games doesnt mean others are, your one bad anecdotal experience doesnt mean the weight doesnt matter.

                • @abjsdhasehasee: que? im better than most people at games despite my 100g mouse, unlike you i dont need to shave off every gram from my mouse and still be shit
                  get rekt son

The non hero is only 12000 DPI and the title states 16000 dpi which can only be the hero version.

  • Yeah strange, my one says lightspeed above the sensor like shown here:

    https://www.rtings.com/mouse/reviews/logitech/g703-lightspee…

  • Mix messages in the listing page, the price suggests this is too good to be true… buyer beware

this reads like the non- Hero sensor version to me
    About this item:
    HERO 25K sensor (?)

but the title says 16,000 DPI
bear in mind Logitech also had a previous gen sensor at 12,000 DPI as well

should familiarise with Amazon UK's return policy :/

The HERO version of the G703 was originally 16k DPI but was upgraded to 25k with a firmware update.

  • Good deal, got this almost 2 years ago through a pricing error at JB for $80. Would almost buy this mouse again when mine eventually dies.

  • How do you handle warranty claims?

  • +7

It is the hero version, read the product description

    • +2

Damn, a down vote for trying to help…

    • yea it looks like it, either way good deal but especially good if it is the hero

  • the amazon listing have this as the part no# ‎910-005641
i believe the hero version ends with a 2

  • I had the g603 which I assume is same same.

    • The main difference is that the 703 has an internal rechargeable battery and doesn't take AA/AAAs.

      • another huge factor is 703 use split shell design for M1 and M2.

Known scroll click issues on this model. Good mouse overall though

FWIW, I ordered one of these last year from the exact same listing and a HERO version is what was delivered. YMMV but I would be reasonably confident that this is HERO stock despite the discrepancy in the product info.

  • Does this have the same loose middle scroller as the G502 and G903? Those are sitting in the drawer and I've reverted back to the MX Master based on the better quality scrolling.

Different wheel with a different set of issues.

Good mouse, but I've had five Logitech mice (one of which is this model) - and three have developed the all-too-common common double click issue. Super frustrating when it starts. Opening them up to replace the switches typically works for a while.

    • is the double clicking issue on the left, right or middle click? for some reason I had a double click on the middle mouse button but somehow its disappeared after a while

      • Nearly always the left button - I guess because it's a wear/reliability issue.

My MX518 is still going strong..?

    • Are you asking us or telling us? ;)

      • Haha, more so a general reply to everyone complaining about having faulty logitech products.. 😅

I've owned atleast 50+ Logitech products throughout the years (15+ mice) and never had 1 fail on me or have any physical issues. The software though is a whole different ballgame..

I'd have rattled off a few more OG names but I actually can't remember them already from soo far back. My dad's FlightSim setup still has my old G15 keyboard aswell.. 😅

        • +1

My original G502 is still going strong after 5+ years.

          • +1

@OldSchoolHarry: I have an Anywhere MX that still works perfectly (original model), use it for work daily :)

  • greate mouse got it at jbhifi for $61 a few years ago, picked up a couple, just wish it came in white

  • thanks fellas deals closed now /thread

  • Damnit, I was literally just looking for a cheap deal to replace my existing G703 last night (it's developed a mousewheel issue) and I've managed to miss out on this as the price has gone back up it seems.

I got mine for $79 a couple years ago so didn't fancy paying over $100 to replace it.

    Should've setup an alert! :(

Anyone know what warranty situation is if I got this in May 2020 from TGG? I'm assuming it's 1 year but it's a kick in the teeth as the mousewheel thing is a known issue.

    • +1

      Warranty is 2 years.
